After that the long chats continued...he even said he was falling in love with me. Really felt like I had met 'the one'

After 1 date? Nutters, the pair of you.
  • He does sound like he was just after one thing. To be that insistent on a second date is out of order I think, if it's clearly not what you want. There will be someone out there for you!

Thank you for that encouraging remark.

Thats why I told him to go home..cos I got the impression he was only after one thing!

He was the one that said he was falling for me.

Sorry. I can be a bit blunt.

But you said that you 'felt like i had met the one'. To me, that was just as 'woah woah woah' as what he said to you.

And yes, seems as though he was after something in particular. Nasty strategy aswell, almost sure to hurt peoples feelings. Good riddance!

Yep - good riddance to him!! Hear hear! :T

Ok, when I said 'the one' - I mean it just felt so right!
Thats why I am so so disappointed...cos I never felt that before.
I got sucked in! Feel like an idiot now! Still at least he didnt get what he wanted!!

    I do feel better now tho...realise I had a lucky escape! :)

I have read this entire thread with interest as I have a dear friend who is currently seeking romance, as she is dyslexic and doesn't have internet connection at home I have helped her to sort out a couple of sites, but I have to say I am not impressed with many of them, stating they are free to register etc. and then having to go through the entire flippin site to find out how much they charge, she has no spare cash for this at all so if anyone knows of any other free sites other than POF please do tell, especially any that are for mixed race relationships. We have had a laugh though, my poor DH has sat here totally bemused by our guffawing at some gentlemen's protestations of their age when their photos patently tell a different story, or a photo taken in the bathroom, is that the only door with a lock on it in their house??? (just in case the missus is busy watching corrie, and they want to sneakily get the photo sorted). I really hope I can help her to find someone she is such a nice person and deserves at last to have some good times in her life!!

I'll probably get shot down in flames for this but.....

PP – While I agree that it was wrong of him to be pushy I also think it was wrong for you to lead him to think it was going to happen.
I completely agree that no should mean no but you told him that you were falling for him, that he was ‘the one’ etc and you hadn’t even been on 2nd date yet then on 2nd date you invite him back to yours for the evening… of course he’s going to try it on!!
