Lotus, I don't take offense to what you put. You said nothing wrong. Your posts in here are in the whole very good, open and honest.

I really appreciate what people have put, the praise and the constructive comments.

To be honrst I started the year with my usual hope and high feelings, I always start the year this way if I can. But my downfall is I am a sensative person.

And yes I my comment could be seen as general one, and maybe I am wrong for hoping that people would reply either way, to a message. I guess my view is old fashioned and in the current world people have changed and are either worried about upsetting people if they say no, coupled with people taking comments so personally.

My views on pof are just that, my views.

I appreciate my pictures on there aren't good, but I hate having pictures taken because I always look daft in then.

I've redone my profile that many times its just not funny. And it just gets the same response, no replies or the nasty sort. But I am more then happy to try again.

Apologies for being negative and causing any upset.

You didn't cause any upset Scotty, but if I see someone that I think I can help then I'll always offer out my advice and you seemed upset so I thought I'd just try and help you in the only way I know how! I hope OKCupid works out better for you.

Why did you get kicked out of the meetup group?

Because some people aren't as fussy about who they meet so will end up with lots of crap dates there is a fine line between waiting too long and being too fussy and just dating any tom !!!!!! or harry.

Although 2 dates a month is nothing really.....I've read of people having 2 dates a week.
  • Go Scotty! I found OKCupid to be a much better site than PoF too.

PP and Lisa, your dates sound great!! Good luck with them.

Well I had a date just over a week ago with someone I had met in real life whilst out drinking in the pub. I met up again with him in the week, he cooked for me, now he's coming round mine tonight, my turn to cook. I feel so very excited about this one. Hope he feels the same!
Proud to be dealing with my debts
  • Oh brilliant hippychick!! Good luck and have fun!!

Nice one hippychick well chuffed for you.

She has said she's concentrating on some uni work so won't be on much but wants to keep in touch and maybe more.

    Hope it works out.

Wold anyone care to take a look at my profile to see where I'm going wrong?
Mid 30's male, sane, witty, reasonably good looking, seeks female with hair who enjoys music and cinema with a view to LTR. Must like foreign holidays, Dalmations, Sunday dinners and hot air ballooning, must understand and be able to explain the offside rule, must be thoroughly impervious to the magnetic effect of handbags and shoes and have a GSOH, current clean CRB check and an Experian credit scone of 990 upwards. Must have an active dislike of the X-factor and anyone who's ever been on it, anything served with hoisin sauce, Peter Andre and his wife Kerry Katona, microwavable meals, Thursdays, things that break the week after the guarantee expires, Michael McIntyre, Iphones, MOT testing stations, Capital Fm, cowboy boots, tin-foil, charity muggers, Fearne Cotton, the concept of female infallibility, Primark, films with Hugh Jackman, people who don't indicate before turning, organised religion and France.
Absolutely positively must be able to return socks after washing IN PAIRS (failure on the part of the outgoing Mrs Gold highlighted this problem, thus creating this vacancy). Being a keen swimmer, having a proven system for winning on the horses or fluently speaking Bulgarian would be considered a definite advantage.

Not one bloody message so far.
