Some men go to great lengths to play the gentleman only to screw you over....

I had one who was supportive online and on the phone about my cancer scare, he called daily etc met him when I felt better only for him to call me fat, miserable and annoying. Only dates women of a size 10 maximum.

I could understand if I hadn't been honest about being an 18 and him seeing me on cam every day for 3 weeks.

And its people like that that put seeds of doubt in every girls mind they meet, meaning those few guys who are decent and genuine don't get a chance- we all get tarred with the same brush

That's really weird, why would someone waste all that time to get to know you?

I have no idea, 3 weeks getting to know me, chatting online while he was offshore so he missed out on sleep/gym, then meeting and spending 5 hours with me.

I'll never know what was going through his mind to go to that extreme to play games.

He joined pof again He got back in contact wanting to meet for sex, told him I wasn't interested and then he told me I was the joke of the rig and I'm too fat for him etc.

He is 36 years old.....

Just searched his username and he closed account, god knows what is going on with him nor do I really care. Part of me wonders if he has something to do with my ex.

DON'T PAY FOR A DATING SITE

Most are cons, most members aren't paid members so you won't get replies, they send fake messages to keep you signed up, the people on them aren't any more serious than on a free site.

Good luck on joining dating sites 6 years ago (23.12.05) I went to meet ANOTHER date (I'd had about 9 over the year I'd been on Friends Reunited Dating) and we never looked back. Moved in July '06, got married October '09 and I am am happier than ever :j I had my fair share of those that seemed lovely online until I met them. One guy went to the loo and never came back leaving me with the bill, another I met 3 times only to discover he was married and living with his wife and 2 kids :eek: Dating sites can be great fun and can work :T:T xx

I never joined the free ones. I found if you paid to join then people were more serious about dating. Most paying sites you can't send a message unless your a paying member. I was on a few, Dating Direct, Match.com and Friends Reunited Dating. I found them all really good. I did try Plenty of Fish and cancelled my profile as I had loads of "unacceptable" messages on it that scared me a bit.
