When i signed up to OKCupid, my first correspondance was from a pre-op transexual proclaiming me to be 'the cuteness'.....
I like to think i'm liberal, but i just kinda felt a bit sick. :rotfl:0 -

Please don't take this harshly, but if your profile is like this post can I suggest brushing up on spelling and grammar? You haven't used any punctuation at all here and it makes your post hard work to read. It also makes you come across (in my personal opinion) less educated or lazy. My first thought if I see a profile with poor grammar and no punctuation is 'if he can't be bothered to write a decent profile why should I be bothered to try and make sense of it?'
Just my opinion though.0 -
Am a bit out of touch - what, in terms of relationships, are 'head games'? (no sexshual comments please)
Head games - messing people around, leading them on, pretending to be interested then disappearing once they're involved. "don't mess with my head"
That's what I think it is anyway!0 -
Hi guys!
Haven't been on here in a while. I started a job about a month and a half ago so have had very little time and engery for much else (other than a bit of dating of course!), so I'm going to pick up where I think I left off...
I've met 3 guys in total from POF. All 3 were nice enough but I just wasn't interested in 2 of them. One of them I still send the odd text to and the other we didn't bother staying in contact. The third guy though...well I guess he's my boyfriend now. Been seeing him for about 2- 2 and a half monthswe've gone on quite a few dates now as we see each other weekly and have recently started, erm, "staying over at each others place"- which I guess is sort of a big deal for me as before him I could count the number of people I have slept with on one finger
(I have my suspicions that that's one more than him though
)
I went to a new years party with him the other day, so I have now met some of his friends which was nice- although I feel I let him down a bit as I wasn't very chatty- I just struggle to make convasation with people when Im the only one in the group who doesn't know anyone. Plus I couldn't drink much as I had work on new years day. Hopefully I didn't make too bad of an impression.
So yeah, it's going well I think. We're just taking it slowly and we'll see what happens. The only thing that bothers me is that whenever we go out he always wants to pay for everything and I have to try and sneakily pay for things when he's in the toilet or something. He just never accepts my offers to pay- although I think he earns a pretty decent salary and I earn a pretty crap one so it's not bothering me as much now. I still offer to pay but if he says no I just accept it.
Well, that's pretty much it. I'm going to catch up on the last 20 or so pages tomorrow. I hope to read that you have all fallen madly in love.Knock me down I'll get right back up again, I'll come back stronger than a powered up Pac-Man0 -

Congratulations, that all sounds greatThe man I've been dating is exactly the same with paying though and I've also found it really difficult to get my head around because I'm so used to being asked to pay from the 2nd date! When I offer I get turned down but I think when it comes to dating he's quite traditional and likes to treat a woman like a woman and I'm not arguing about that because I like to be treated like a woman and the last few men I've dated I've ended up feeling more like the man out of the two of us! I think like in your case, he knows that I don't have as much money as him (I'm a student and though I'm not a poor student because I'm good at managing my finances, I don't have a full-time wage) and I know that he's very good at managing his money as well so he wouldn't take me out if he didn't think he could afford it.
I've been on 4 very long dates with my guy now, the last 2 lasted all day and they've all been really great and I feel very lucky that the first person I met off a dating website is exactly how he came across on his profile!0 -
