A lot of people would like their partners to be more than 100 miles away at times!
Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.

That's very true Lionhead, when you read the Happy Families threads here on Mse sometimes you wonder if we're better off being single.

Well in the past few days I've sent about 12 messages. Not short ones either, all tailored to the profile and I've had 3 replies, One saying he'd just met someone and wanted to see how it goes - fair enough good luck to him, one replied and seemed nice, I replied and nothing from him since then, that was 4 days ago! And one reply yesterday to which I have replied today.

I don't know why I bother sending out long messages cause they don't get you any further! Might go back to the old fashioned way of meeting people!

Long first messages aren't advised it can give the wrong impression. You wouldn't walk up to someone in a bar and reel off 5 minutes of chat before they have time to answer.

Personalise the message but keep it quite short and too the point x

Gosh you're my type of girl,
I've just realised it's a leap year ..... that means you could propose to me.

I still feel rather proud he thought I was good enough to be worth the drive just for an hour or so.....he is gorgeous so didn't need to.

I'll never get married, not even to Gary Barlow x
