I cant log in to MCOL to start my claim, Ive just received the defence from YB and need to proceed.
Anyone else been in this situation?

Yorkshire bank are quite hard work.

If you havent started your claim yet you wont have a defence yet.

Take your time doing your claim - get it perfect first time and you will win no probs.

    thanks
if i just want to keep life simple.....my charges with martins calculator come to 1295.17 and i worked out 430.40 in contractual interest. so sent letters to bank askinf for 1722.17

is it now ok just to use mcol to claim the 1295.17 plus daily int @0.021% to keep it simple or will this cause problems

You can claim interest but the forum on mcol stuff have said to keep any claims under £5k for the small claims court so is the claim for 2 accounts or just 1?
If its for 2 you can split them up but if not it may be in your best intrest to keep it to the 5k
    check the threads on mcol
    good luck you will win!
    :T

NO. Do not forfeit any money to keep in small claims. FAST TRACK is not to be scared of. The banks are more scared of it than you as it means standard disclosure - I have yet to see a bank comply with this.

How did you work out contractual interest ?

daily interest will be 28 p per day from date of issue at 8%. I have no way of knowing what stat interest at 8% will be up to the date of claim unless you complete a spreadsheet/use the calculator.

my charges were 1125 then the charges table on this site made it to 1295.17
there were also extra charges of 430.40 on bank statements as interest so i have wrote asking for 1722.17

so can i now just claim on mcol for the 1295.17 as my spreadsheets say this i just put the extra 430.40 on and stated in letter it was cont interest
