I understand that but I was under the impression that to make a small claim the amount had to be under 5k before interest(mine is £4980) but when trying to enter the claim it says you have to add the interest which then makes it over £6K making the fee £250 and therefore causing it to be fastrack.
In Martins explanation he says it should be under £5000 before interest is added.

Yep write a letter saying please find enclosed further information to be processed with claim number xxxxx and served on the defendant etc etc.....and enclose three copies of you lsist of charges.

send to the northampton bulk processing centre and it will be added to your claim file.

    Hi

I need to send this letter with list of charges when you say etc etc do you mean "on the defendant (name of bank)?? do you put anything else??
    Thank you:confused:

I got an offer today from Halifax of less than half the basic amount I was claiming (not including stat interest).

I was about to log a claim on MCOL but I just noticed that there was a typo in my interest spreadsheet where one claim was logged as 2003 whereas in fact it was in 2006. This has now reduced the interest I am claiming and means that the last 2 letters I have sent them quotes the incorrect amount of interest.

Now I am not sure what to do - I dont want to end up in a weaker position if it goes to court because my documentation was incorrect.

    Can anyone please advise?

I put my claim onto MCOL last night but realised that I used the Andover address for Lloyds instead of the registered address? Is this going to be a big problem?

    Thanks

I've just checked MCOL and with 5 days to do, First Direct have stated they are going to defend in full. I can't see any details on the MCOL site so I'm guessing any more info will come to me in the post.

What are the time scales now - when will they enter the defence - when will I get the details of it? What is their deadline to actually enter the defence is it still within the 28 days of acknowledgment (in which case the 28days is up on the 2nd April)?

What's the next step - what do I do now?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm now terrified I will have to go to court.

Can anyone answer these questions? I will be very much grateful!

I am currently abroad and looking to make a claim against Barclaycard. My Dad is going to sort out all the correspondence once I have done the claim online. Is it possible for someone else to represent me? What happens if it gets to the stage where a court allocation questionnaire is sent out, would I have to physically sign that form or can someone else do it? Would I just use the Barclays Bank address when doing the claim. Many Thanks

Hey guys! I made a claim on moneyclaim online for £1400, the bank (halifax) acknowledged, but didn't get a defence put it. I clicked the "judgement" button and applied for a judgement by default, and it now says this has been "issued" to the bank

What does this mean? How long do I need to wait for the next section now? (there is also a link for 'warrant' now available)

I've had a look for more info but can't find any, and the mcol site doesn't really tell me the next steps or when I should take them :(
