To work out the daily interest. Multiply the amount of your claim (charges only, not including interest) by .00022. You don't have to add the section about interest again because it's already included. And yes, it is from the date of the first charge.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

oh thankyou Beate is there any of the statements that i should use more than any other just they all seem slightly different i did copy and paste martins in but then looked at the one that comes up when you tick 'yes' and it seems slightly different justy not sure which one to use?
many thanks0 -
Personally I used Rex_Mundi's POCs(post 6 and 11 of this thread), simply because it was shorter and therefore fitted. When you tick that you want to claim interest, you can ignore the pop up as you have said everything about interestnin your main text already.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

hi, not sure if im posting in the right thread..
i've just received a part offer from my bank. i have already started court proceedings about a week and a bit ago and they have received and ackowledged the claim.
if i accept this part offer do i get my court fee back as it hasnt gone to court?
Also, they said i had claimed for charges that go back further than 6 years, when i sent off my original letter the charges were within the 6 year period. can i still claim these?
also, im eager to take this offer because in the statement of truth instead of putting xxx.05 i accidently put xxx.50(although in the amount claimed i had put the correct sum)
thanks to anyone that can help me
Hi, I believe you can accept the part payment, but what it is important for you to do is to send a letter to the bank telling them that you accept the payment as part of the whole setlement and that you will still be pursuing them in court for the rest of the amount. There are letter templates somewhere on this forum for you to copy for this purpose. I suppose at the end of the day it is up to you what you are prepared to accept, but to be honest I would get the whole lot off them. Oh and if you accept the part payment then they won't be paying your court fee, you will just get the amount they are offering you. As for the charges they say go back further than six years, if they were within the six year period by the time they were served with the claim and they acknowledged it then you can get them back.0 -

Thanks KJ. The only reason i am eager to accept is because i mistakenly put 45p too much in the statement part of the court form(as i said before i put the correct amount in the total claimed box, just not in the bit where u have to describe the claim). If i knew that this wouldnt matter i would just carry on with the court proceedings and reject their offer.
As for the charges that went back more than 6 years. They were within the 6 year period on my first request to hsbc for a refund. But the charge was outside the 6 year period when i submitted the court claim. And then i get into the problem of.. i've put that charge on the amount claimed so would i mess up my case? or would the judge just say you'll get all the charges except the ones outside of the 6 year period.
Thanks again for your reply0 -
Anyone?
