Hi immoral_angel,
We have an older thread on homemade oven chips so I've merged your thread with it as it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

We also make homemade "crisps" - exactly the same as above, but cut very thinly and spray with oil.
Put "crunchy" salt on (rock salt? can't remember name) - salted crisps virtually fat free!!DFW No. 344

Cut your potatos into wedges and microwave for 10 - 15 minutes depending on how many you are making. drizzle with oil and put in the oven, gas mark 5 or 6 (sorry don't know the celcius equivalent) for 20 to 25 minutes until browned, turning once during that time. they don't turn out like the frozen oven chips - much, much better - like roastiesStash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0

Pretty much the same as above, i cut into wedges/chips/slices, toss them in a bowl with a little oil (to prevent sticking) and nuke until theyre *just* beginning to soften. Then mix in some salt and pepper, or cajun seasoning, or whatever you prefer and bake in a hot oven (200-220*C) until done.. usually about half an hour i think, but I never time it. And yes, they taste way better than frozen oven chips!0

I don't even microwave them, I cut each potato into 6 wedges, lay them on a baking tray, spray them with oil, grind salt & pepper on them and put them in the oven for half an hour. Turn out lovely every time!0

I'm similar to Cazzdevil, I cut the potatoes into chips then place them raw onto a baking tray sprayed with oil, spray the tops with little oil and put into the oven at 200c for about half an hour turning halfway through cooking.0

I par boil my wedges for 10 mins unitl starting to soften. Then I spray them all over with Fry light - to reduce the fat content. Then bake in a hot oven for about 30 mins.Plan to PAD Everyday 2024Credit Card - £3662.99 (int free to 11/11/25) -PAD TotalsJan 2024 -0
