Home Made Oven Chips

I blanch them if I have time otherwise straight into the oven. A big plastic box (lock n lock) with salt and 1tbsp olive oil and a good shake covers them nice and evenly. Also I use a reusable non stik liner on my baking tray which helps stop them sticking.0

Ascot 64, where did you get your reusable non-stick liner? I could really do with one of those.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Does anyone make they're own oven chips, do you just put the chips in the oven and cook them or do you put something on them
I make wedges - scrub potatoes and cut into wedges. Sprinkle with oil and season and bake in the oven until tender and golden
I'll add this to the existing thread on HM oven chips.

I got all three of mine from Morrisons. They were £1.99 each.
I cut up one to use in pie dishes etc. but the other two are still whole.0 -
I chip mine then throw into a old bread packet with a slosh of olive oil and teaspoon of cumin or paprika. Toss them about then onto a pizza tray (with holes) and cook for 40 minutes. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

thanks for that PP,0 -
Rooster potatoes make good oven chips. I usually parboil chips for 3 mins & wait until cool. I put a small amount of ground nut oil on chips & cover in rock salt, then place in hot oven for 25mins. delicious:D0

heat the oven to 180 ish. Split pittas in two. Cut each half into triangle type wedges. spray oven tray and wedges with one cal spray, sprinkle over seasoning of choice, then zap in a hot oven for 5-10 mins. (keep a good eye on them - they burn quickly)It matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.
