  • Hey greensaints, just wanted to pop by and say well done for keeping in the black! That's a brilliant feat for this time of year especially :)

Good news on the weight loss too - I really struggle at this time of year, I think my body wants to go into hibernation and craves fatty, sweet and delicious food all day long!

  • Hi Mildredalien

    Thanks for the post :)

It was a real struggle. This month is going to be tough, but I'm hoping after next Friday I won't be driving for a few weeks so that'll save me some money. I'm on my course the first two weeks of January, but I'm hoping my boyfriend will let me car share (as it's 4 miles from his work. I've paid for a hotel as I'd rather not get distracted and waste time in the car, when I could be studying) so that was a big expense, but I hope it'll pay off (no pun intended!)

Also, when I've finished my course, it's pay day so that's handy! :D I have about £77 of (more) expenses too that will help and hopefully some MS payments. I'd like to pay another £150 off my Barclaycard before next payday, but I'll see how much money I have in January before making that commitment! :p

The only thing that is keeping me going with my weight loss is that jacket! It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine! :p

    Hi GreenSaints

*personal note before I begin, I am starting to feel like I am just following Dolly Rocker around this site... stalker alert :p*

First off, congratulations on clearing off such a huge chunk of your debt (over 8k! You should feel very pleased with yourself!)

Secondly, miscalculating is the worst! So sorry to hear that you only have £40 more until January 15th. How much money do you think that you'll need?

Good luck, hope you can sort something out!

  • Hi CuppyCake

    Thanks for your post :)

I don't know what happened! I think I thought I had £350 left but paid for a hotel in January so that's practically gone! :( Damn my miscalculations!

My survival tactic is that I'm expecting a bit of money from MS (circa £79) in the next few days. Other than that - I'm going to have to just do my best and keep and eye on my account. I'm not paying OD fees again!

Oh - and take a look at my earlier posts and see the cupcakes I decorated. Super proud of myself :D
