  • Phew! Got my money from my bond out so I have £114 in my current account now. I feel a lot better.

Also, I found £10 on the floor! I felt really guilty when I picked it up. Anyone else get that? I did put £1 in the charity box to make me feel less guilty

  • Thats good news did they charge you a fee for it then?

Oh a tenner - I'm always torn about stuff like that not that it happens often.

  • No, no fee thankfully. I think it's because I took most of the money out a few years ago and just left a bit of money in because.................well, I'm not really sure way! Lets just say it was for an emergency like today! :p

I'm going to put the rest of that £10 (minus £1 to charity and £3.50 on eBay posting) in my account and transfer that to my debt. Every little helps and all that :) That is the first time I've ever found money of that amount. The only other time was when I was at uni and I was at the Sainsburys self checkout and there was £5 in bit where it dispenses change.

I think I'll feel less guilty that it goes on a debt, rather than on something wasteful (like a sandwich at lunch)

Hope you are all doing well and not getting too wet!

    xx

  • Well thats me back in - town was mayhem!!!

Its better off that you have it anyway than someone spending it on drugs or drink!

I found a bag in Argos that had a DVD & a CD in it so handed that in at customer services I think people are just careless with stuff probably in that much of a hurry LOL

Dont know how many times I've done that aswell its soooooooooooooo annoying!

  • £80?! I find paying £3.10 for the bus into town annoys me!

Current account update - £44.16 (£2.50 to Cancer Research went out today)

Yep, living in capital has it's ups, and it's downs!

I'm often torn about finding money on the floor, but then I think, I'm pretty sure I've lost money before, and I hope the person that found it put it to good use!

  • Dolly - town was mental here too! My mum said that, well she actually said "It's better than a drug addict spending it on.....er......drugs" :p

CuppyCake - I couldn't afford that every week. I'd love to live in a big city, but I need to get my money sorted before that happens

  • Well, today has been a pretty s*** day :(
    • I put on 1.4lbs this week :(
    • First Direct charged me the £25 OD fee even though they PROMISED me they wouldn't :(
    • I've only got £94 in the bank and £50 will go tonight, thanks to our counselling session :(
So I have about £1.50 per day to last me till 15 January 2012! :(

I feel pretty miserable today and there seems to be no hope at the minute

  • Hello all,

Well, that was a very depressive last message from me! :p I feel more upbeat now, though my situation hasn't changed - I've put on more weight over Christmas (another 3lbs!), I have £3 to last me to the 15th BUT First Direct refunded me the £25 so that's good.

I had a very busy time over Christmas and New Year. Had some successful sale shopping (basically 90% of next years Christmas presents bought for £42!) and tried to keep an eye on my ever-so-small bank balance!

I'm away on a course for a couple weeks starting on Tuesday, so I need to get a train there. Thanks to :money:, I found my £10 voucher from redspottedhanky so only had to pay £7.60 which includes £3 for the bus to the station!

I need to think about food I can take with me so I 1. don't spend money I clearly don't have and 2. don't binge!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. Here's to a financially stable 2012!

Hi GreenSaints, I decided to join you on your diary since you have been a regular visitor of mine!
You're doing really well, you seem to have so much on your plate at the moment!
Christmas weight gain will shift as soon as you get back in your normal routine.
Only just over a week until you get paid. Hang on in there!
