  • Hi January,

How are you? Not heard from you in ages.

Well, my debt busting will be reduced this year because........I handed my notice in! I can't take working here anymore.

I've been sending out my CV and I have an interview next Thursday :D It's a lot less than I earn, but the hours seem better, in a nicer area.

My mum isn't really happy at all. I've given my current work two and a half months notice (even though I only have to give one) so it gives me time to get everything in order.

I'm lucky that I don't have any credit card debt or overdrafts anymore. All I need to do is keep to a very strict budget.

Hopefully I'll be able to send my PT assessment information off so I can start practicing and earning money

  • Hi all,

We'll it pains me to say that I've had to take back my notice :( But I'm still hoping I can find something else soon.

But on the plus side, I've paid a 3.58% of my remaining debt today :) I have some expenses money to come too. I've also started a new 'business' to sell stuff for people and taking a small commission. I already have two customers and lots of items to sell!

My aim this year is to pay another 50% of my debt off (£7.5k), obviously the more the better! I should be on target for that, but at this rate I won't be debt free at 30, but you never know - I might win the lottery!

Hello GreenSaints, sorry I haven't posted for a while. I think it's very sensible that you have taken back your notice, you can still look for other jobs without putting too much pressure on your self.

Well done on paying so much in January already. Would love to say the same but with Mr B going from weekly to monthly pay, our debt is going the wrong way:mad:

    Speak soon

  • Hi Banwa,

How are you? No worries about the lack of posts - I know you're about :)

Don't worry about the debt at the moment. Get your head around the weekly payments. It's weird really, when I was at Boots for a weekend job, I used to get paid weekly and loved it. When I went back to monthly, it was awful!

I'm also pleased to mention that boyfriend has a wonderful new job! The most he's ever been paid with a car! I'm so pleased for him as there going to be lots of opportunities and progression by the sounds of it.

On a selfish note, it means we can put some more money towards the mortgage AND maybe he'll be able to treat me for a change without me feeling guilty!

I'm still flogging a lot of things on ebay and giving away stuff on Free cycle. I've got some great things off there myself, so I'm trying to give back. I do get annoyed when someone messages and says they'll have everything. I get annoyed by that!

  • Hi all,

I haven't been on here in a while, and I am falling back into bad habits :(

I am not debt busting as much as I should, still not finished my assessment and eating crap again :(

On the plus side, I got paid for a mystery shop today so put that towards my student loan

    Hi all,

Not written in here in AGES! Been very busy (poor excuse) but I've been making steady progress.

Got some exciting news, but can't stay anything yet (can't jinx anything!) but that has taken up a lot of my time for months.

On another positive note, I FINALLY handed in my PT case studies and they have been marked (exact words from my teacher - they are amazing and beautiful!) so I just have to answer some questions (which I have done) and fingers crossed I'll be qualified!

Hope everyone else is doing Ok :)
