I think, GreenSaints, that when you have "bad habits" regarding how you manage money, it's really hard to stay focused, especially when you are out of the "danger zone" and you relax a little. At the same time, it is important to live your life a little too if you can afford it.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

You're right. I'm just like this with food - its all or nothing. If I lose weight I think great, let's get take out as a reward. If I gain weight, I think balls to this, what's the point? And binge!
I have a few items which have sold on eBay, so just need to get that transferred to my piggy bank. Got some expenses to come too, so that should help.
I've done it again - gone and dome everything at once! But, I'll cope. I have too!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Actually, when I was writing my message, I was thinking about the weight loss process. I've always been good at losing weight, once I got my mind round it. My problem has always come from the maintenance programme that follows. I've always failed at that stage. And put weight back on - and more than I originally lost!!
I'm hoping my DF maintenance programme will be more successful! At least, eventhough I need food to live, I don't need credit to live so if I don't get a credit card or a loan, it should be fine...
PS: at WW they always said never to reward oneself with food. (but it so good!)

Just catching up GreenSaints, you are doing fantastically well. Such a lot in a year.
And well done for persevering with ebay, I find the whole thing a right pain.
I understand exactly what you mean about the decluttering. I wonder if it's part of taking control, we've taken control of the financial side of things, and now we are taking control of our surroundings too. It feels like decluttering of the soul.:)Debt £26k 18/10/140 -

How are things, GreenSaints?
(I was watching a Cloudy with a chance of meatballs on Friday with some of my pupils (as a treat for good work and good behaviour) and every time I saw Steve, I thought of you! It's my favourite animated film.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Yes I'm a teacher but I don't hold a full time post. I work in 2 different schools and I teach various age groups. And I teach French, so I didn't show them "Cloudy with a change of meatballs", I showed them "Tempête de boulettes g!antes" -in French of course!- and they loved it just as much !
My second favourite is "The jungle book". I love Baloo the bear!LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

I didn't do French at school - I did German. I wish I did French now, but we didn't get a choice!
I won the Jungle Book on VHS when I was 9, and I still have it!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!
