Thank you
It's hard work, but I'm aiming for 22 months. I want to move house, and make it all vintage so I need these gone!
House renovations to our house start a week on Monday. That's getting paid for with my shares......if they stop falling!
How are you getting on?DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Hmmm, I've been doing some calculations on my idea of being debt free before 30, but I don't know if I'd be able to.
Basically I have £18,610.70 to pay (as of today) By the end of this year, I would like this figure to be £15,000.
Next year I will pay £6,056.44 off (without any extra payments) which leaves £8943.56 to pay in 5 months!
This means that if I want to be debt free, I need to find another £294 per month, every month until then!
I could probably get another £100 a month with a bit of effort, but not £300! Now ChaCha is dead, that's some guaranteed money gone. Without getting a second job (with good pay) I don't see how I can do thisDEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Is it feasible for you to get a second job? Or would that be too much?
What about selling stuff on ebay? as a business I mean.
Can you write? I mean well enough to earn money :rotfl:
There is a part of this forum called "up your income". Have you looked at it?
Would you be really gutted if you became debt free by 31 instead of 30? Could you not choose another meaningful date instead? I wanted to be debt free by this summer for instance and that gave me the incentive I needed.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

It wouldn't be ideal for me to get a second job, however I'd do it if I could find something! Maybe when (more likely if at the minute!) I'm qualified in PT or spin (just waiting for my results) I could do that?
I'd love to resell stuff on eBay, but I'm trying to clear the house first ready for the plastering (which has been put on hold as someone crashed into our builder and he's recovering from neck and back injuries!)
I can make quite a few over payments this month. Have £155 from Quidco, £25 from Mystery Shopping and some money I can use from my fuel.
I'll take a look at the up your income board, but I think I just need to find some extra work I can do without it affecting my home life.DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Which would mean going out to work. Bar work is probably the easiest to find but it's not well paid and it's really tiring (did it in my 20s)LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Wow - I haven't written in here in ages! I've been a busy bee really, not just lazy.
Well, I've updated my totals on the front page, and I'm just about to update my signature. On track to get my debt under £15k by the end of the year, which is good.
On another note, I've passed by my PT examsJust got my practical assessment on 24th November and my case studies and I'll be qualified

Congratulations on passing your exams!
And on the debt busting!
I haven't written much either since I went back to work after my summer hols and started my news hours. I'm just so busy and too tired often in the evening to write anything coherent!
