Fabulous news!
So, I opened a non paying bidder case yesterday to the guy who bought my tablet. I thought today I was going to relist it even though the case hadn't been closed as 1. He wasn't going to pay me 2. I want that money so it can go to my CC and 3. New technology is coming out daily, so the longer I leave it, the less money I'll get.
So, I decided that I was going to list it as a buy it now scenario so I could get immediate payment. I listed it at 10am, sold it at 10:03 and the money was in my PayPal account at 10:05!Couldn't be happier
Off to post that tomorrow and can't wait to transfer that to Barclaycard and pay it off!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Well, what an eventful phone call!
I rang up Barclaycard and asked to pay off my balance and close my account. Well, I had some guy saying something about I couldn't pay anything over the phone because I've already maxed out payments or something (I didn't really understand) but I could close my account (??) so I was put through to someone else.
So I spent about 5 minutes telling this woman that I didn't want the card and I just wanted it closed. But then, just as I was going to say 'DAMN IT, JUST CLOSE THE ACCOUNT!' she said, if you keep the card, lower the limit, we'll make sure you won't pay any interest this month.
..................Now I was interested! Basically, I was going to have to pay interest (estimated at £5.62) so this woman said if I keep my card (which I've had since 2005 and I'm such a fabulous customer) they'll clear the interest for the month :T
So my balance is ZERO, my limit has gone down from £9,400 () to £500 AND I have no interest to pay
Pretty productive morning if I do say soDEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

Well done GreenSaints!!! :T:T:T:T:T
But it sounds like closing an account with Barclays is even more difficult than opening one!
Do you think they are desperate for customers and it's all Martin Lewis' fault? :rotfl:LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Thank you very much
I have been super smug today!
When I closed my RBS card, the woman couldn't wait to get off the phone! Maybe it was because I was only with them for two months, was late on one payment and transferred the balance!
This woman was pleasant enough, and if she wasn't so pushy, I would have had to pay the interest.
It probably is Martins fault, now you mentioned it!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

I don't really have an awful lot to say now!
My next debt to bust is my student overdraft, which I'm aiming to clear by 15 July. After that, it'll be my student loan. I've increased what I pay my mum, so that'll knock a few years off that too.
Other than that, that's it! The highest amount of interest I'm paying at present is 1.5%! So there isn't a great urgency like my CC.
So.......now what?!DEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!
