Just a quick update - paid £124.16 to my CC :D

£316.91 to go in 17 days. Is that doable? It'll have to be! :p

  • F****** Halifax!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I thought I'd just log into my Santander account to see if 1. I could and 2. If not, then it must mean my account has been closed.

So I did, only to find a balance of MINUS £50!

I saw one of my direct debits had gone out of there, which has ALSO gone out of my Halifax account!

So I rang them today (27:56 minutes in total), was SUPER calm, considering how angry I was, and I got this 'compensation' out of them.

    £6 for Santander OD fees
    £10 parking money
    £10 petrol and call charges
    £10 'goodwill' gesture

So tomorrow lunch, I have to go into town, go to Lloyds, take the £50 out of that account, then go and put it into my Santander account!

    Why me?! :(

They make all these promises to get you as a customer and then prove themselves unable to do fulfil them!
    Idiots! The lot of them!

  • I was very annoyed, but I've calmed down now, Mainly because:
    • I've put the money back into my Santander account
    • The extra £50 has gone to my student OD (so that's £100 this month)
    • The compensation went straight to my Barclaycard
    • I got a free lunch from my mum :D
So, all in all, it's been sorted.

I've sold my tablet and some shoes on eBay today - £165! But they haven't paid - why? Why bid and not pay?!

It's just manners isn't it? If you win the auction, you pay straight away. Some people just have no manners!

  • That's what I think. My BF and mum think they might be 'busy'

JUST PAY FOR MY STUFF DAMN IT! :(

But I'm still happy as I've got people who want second chance offers. Plus I'm round my mum's for free eats :D

They could be busy but I know that on the odd occasion I have bought anything from Ebay, I have kept an eye on the auction and as soon as I got the email saying I had been successful, I have paid. Perhaps they are blas! Ebay buyers and just do things at their own pace!

  • Still not been paid for my items! I really would like that money to go to my credit card! I'm so annoyed and I can't even open an unpaid case yet! :(

Oh well, still on track to clear my Barclaycard before the 3rd March.

  • Well, I was really annoyed this morning re: eBay.

I got a message from someone who bought my item on the 12th February. Sent numerous invoices and heard nothing (newbie, 0 feedback) so I opened a non paying bidder case with eBay. This morning I received this message (the bad grammar and spelling is not mine!):

hello please can you take off the unpaid item case x im having problems ssorting out my paypal so if its ok with you can I pay by Wednesday ? but im a new buyer ad having a little troubke please close the case as its my first item im buying

Now, I'm all for new bidders, but you don't even need to register with PayPal - you can send money within 5 minutes. Also, it's been 8 days - did she not think to email me saying she had a problem, then I wouldn't have been so bothered.

Then, because I was annoyed, I emailed the other people effectively saying 'pay up or I'm open a can of non payment case on your !!!' and I got this message back (again spelling and grammar not mine!):

is it ok if i pay you on wednesday because i dont get payed till then thank you i hope this is ok the shoes are for my daughter she loves them can you please let me know if this is ok many thanks

If you don't have the money, DON'T BID ON THINGS! I replied and said it was fine, but I would still open a non payment case as I need to cover myself.
Surprise, surprise, she paid me then! And a few hours ago I got this response:

can you please tell me when you are going to post them to me thank you

How rude! I shouldn't respond until she keeps emailing me and then say I can't send them until pay day!

So annoyed! But that money from PayPal has been instantly transferred to my bank account, ready to go to Barclaycard. I think I'm going to tick the immediate payment box on my auctions from now on. Would be a lot less hassle

  • Just paid the money that I received for my shoes to my CC. Going to have to relist my tablet as the person who could have got a second chance offer has bought one! :(
