    Well done on the desk!
I was thinking the same about the Easter Egg! It makes so much more sense!

  • ARGH! Damn Barclaycard!

My CC amount was under £500, but now because they have added interest, it's £507.20! :(

Don't know how I'm going to pay that off in one before the 5th March! :(

  • On the plus side, I sold three items on eBay so that's paid for the interest! :)

Just need to get paid now so I can clear it for good!

  • Need to get to the bank so I can put my £35 desk money in. It's burning a hole in my pocket!

Posted my eBay items yesterday. Used the remaining money in my Santander account and because I was late from work (again!) I bought dinner (well, what's food at 10am called?!) for me and the BF. We are in bed which was nice :) So I have about £16 left, which, as soon as everything comes out, I'll transfer to my CC.

I haven't transferred the £100 Halifax gave me for switching yet as I want that as a buffer for any direct debits that come out before pay day (5 days time!)

I feel positive about my debt. I think it's because I'm earning extra money from selling and just a few more months of hard graft, and it'll be gone! My main "career" is also just for debt payments. When that's gone, I HAVE to look for another job!

  • Just a quick update - made two payments in one day! £30 and £17.77 to my CC. That's cleared the interest, so I'm going to attack before the 3rd March

Bit concerned with my new account. I transferred some money on the 7th from my works cashback scheme and it's not gone in, nor has some money I transferred from PayPal! Hmmmm

Which account is this? Is it a current account? a savings account? with which bank? I'd be concerned as well as transfers are so fast nowadays (unless you are paying money off your BC CC!)

  • Typical - as soon as I posted that, I checked my statement and one of my PayPal payments went through! Doh! :embarasse

So I made another payment to my CC. Pay day in 2 days, so will be able to pay this off!

I'm debating what to pay off next. I'm very lucky that my outstanding debts are on very low interest or nothing. Should I pay off my Student Overdraft first just because it's the smallest amount or start chucking it at my student loan?

I don't listen to :money: about student loan over payments. I can't think of this as a 'non debt'. I borrowed money, I am charged interest (regardless if it's 1.5% at present) so it's a debt. I 'earned' a lot of interest when I went back to uni for 9 months, so my loan amount now is more than what I took out! Also, out of my debts I have, this is the one I'm charged interest on!

So I need to something to focus on next. It's either hammer my Lloyds so that's cleared in about 6 months, hammer my student loan so that's cleared in about 3 years or split them equally. My mum says she doesn't want any more money from me (other than the money I already pay her) as she says she spends it rather than saves it! When my share save money comes through, that is going to her, but I'm putting it in an ISA under my name as she has already earmarked some money for her ISA this year. Plus, she can't spend it! :rotfl:

Hi Greensaints, would it be better to go for your overdraft as a) you'll pay it off quicker so it would be more motivational, and b) it would be better for your credit rating to get rid of an OD?

Well done on all your moneysaving :D

  • Ah, thank you for the advice and dropping by :D

I am ashamed to say I've had that OD for....................*has thinking face on*...................7 years!?!? And I've only now started paying it off! Luckily (not at the time, but it is now) I was turned down for all the big OD's (at the time, the most I could have got was £3k) just imagine tackling that AS WELL as all my other debts! _pale_

Ok, the OD it is. It also means I can close that account too. Watch out for the news for Lloyds staff bonuses thanks to all my payments! :rotfl:
