As from monday 2nd April - full details here -
ftp://ftp.royalmail.com/Downloads/public/ctf/rm/2007_2008_Prices_document_for_publication_final.pdf
but briefly the prices for Large Letters and packets are going up!
new prices -
packets -
250-500g = 1.84 1st class. 1.52 second **
500g-750g= 2.38 1st, 1.92 2nd
750-1kg = 2.92 1st, 2.30 2nd
Large Letters
100-250g = 70p 1st & 60p second
250-500g = 98p 1st class. 83p second
500g-750g= 1.42 1st, 1.20 2nd
** (it will now cost more to send a vhs than you would receive in postal fees from amazon)
It's also very unlikely that amazon will increase there fees as this would make them uncompetitive. They have not increased fees in the history of marketplace and actually decreased fees from 3.75 to the current 2.75 a number of years ago.
They'll just pump out the same old rot that sellers should adjust their prices to take into account how much it will cost to send. Which incidently won't effect me too much as having a RM account it costs a lot less to post. <EG>Do You Twitter?

Musings ...
OK - how do I increase my sales so that I can get the PPI thingy then??? By my calculations I have to send about 96 large letter/packets a week. Trouble is I will run out of books quick at that rate and I dont want to buy to sell cos that way it becomes a business and taxable ...
Mind you if I could sell that many I could give up the day job ...
....
Dammit they got you all ways ...
All ideas in a plain brown envelope please.....0 -

Hi everyone :hello:
I hope you don't mind me asking a huge favour. Do any of you pro-sellers have a copy of the 'buyer waiting' list in a spreadsheet that you wouldn't mind sharing with me? My dad is a bit of an Amazon-er but he has loads, and I mean about 10 rooms full, of old books at home. I've whetted his appetite a bit by mentioning the BW list and he said he'd be interested to see a copy.
If he makes a mint I will try to get some off him and share it around

Of course, you're number 78 and you're right about the comparison with ebay, it really does make a difference.0 -
I saw this in Oxfam today: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0671027131/ref=dp_olp_2/203-7500746-1317552
As long as the price is good (low) enough I might buy it and list it around the £7 mark and hopefully it will sell, according to those already listed.
There isn't any way of checking what it has sold for in the past, is there, like 'completed' sales on ebay?"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0
