panic over..
I knew I'd moved it and remembered that I'd put it aside to read myself and so it was by the bed. I was really panicking there for a moment though.

Right I need someone to hold my hand, I'm going to pop into an auction site at lunch time so find out a bit of info, I'm a bit worried they're going to look at me and laugh though (the auction's not until thurs), just need to find out a bit first. Figuratively stick a toe in the water and hope its not bitten!:undecided0

hi gc, just walk in with an air of confidence, have a notebook and pen in your hand so that you look like you know what you're about and have a flippin good look at EVERYTHING not just books, examine insides, outsides, underneaths of items that catch your eye and assume that if you like something then someone else on ebayland or amazonworld will too and pay you for finding it for them. I take a camera with me and take pix as visual reminders of what I've seen
Make notes and then come back and check on amazon or ebay, look at completeds on ebay and then work out your top buying prices, making sure that you know what the commision is (& vat on the commision) and then have fun with it!0 -
I go to a real East End auction, although I actually haven't been able to go now for months. They are as friendly as anything, although being blonde and girlie I do get my leg pulled a bit but in a really friendly way. Also, (and luckily I can take a joke!) I once bought some adult books, ones that I can't really mention on MSE, but which are listed on Amazon, so am often referred to as the 'mucky book lady'.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Apprentice tycoon makes a very valid point...remember buyers premium!
I don't know if they are all the same or not, but assume they are. Mine charges 15% on top of sale price plus 15% of that 15% so something won at £10 will actually cost £11.72I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Amazombie wrote:By what I can see there was only the one printing of this paperback? Clearly quite scarce but whether any collectors would be willing to pay the high prices quoted is another matter. All you can do is store it and see. Have you checked ebay prices?
Thanks, as you might have seen ive put that one on at a silly price, Ebay had one finish recently at £50 and a few weeks back at £68 so its a little high but its very rare so who knows !

I've popped on to have a whinge - well 2 actually.
Firstly I have been switched off by Amazon again - no sales since Friday and I need to sell 4 more by the end of the month to pay for my Pro Merchant subs!!
Secondly, I am dreading how much I will have to increase my listings by at the end of March when the new Royal Mail prices come into action - I really can't believe they have increased them so soon - well actually I can! It looks like the small packet rates have gone up lots and lots, although I must admit I haven't studdied them yet - too depressing.
Will someone buy some of my books!!!!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -

Glad you found your book, I can't tell you how many times I have 'lost' a book and had to refund a few times, now I have SKUs but before I used them it was murder.

The Soolin I use as a pseud is from Blake's 7 and was played by actress Glynis Barber. The character was very blonde, I'm more gold/blonde rather than platinum. I'll be reaching for the dye though as soon as the grey starts becoming a nuisance :eek:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
