I've been looking through the buyer waiting list today, and found a book on there that DH owns - for £100. Unfortunately the buyer is waiting for a signed copy. DH has another book by the same author which is signed - but no-one is waiting for that one

    Ah well, such is life.

I knew it was all going too well, I listed a book wrongly, it has sold (hardback instead of paperback) so I've emailed the buyer to see if he still wants it, do you think I should just refund it and relist?

The other thing is that the book sold for £6.00 but after fees I come out with £6.32, don't understand why they have taken so much, can't check the postage rates because that page isn't working properly. Can any on shed any light?

If you're not pro-merchant the net amount should be £ 6.37.

Book Price £ 6 plus postage allowance of £ 2.75 so paid by buyer £ 8.75

Amazon take 15% commission off the book price ie 90p you also have to pay 15% VAT on their commission ie 14p.

In addition Amazon take 49p admin fee off the postage allowance and you also pay the non pro-merchant fee of 86p per item!

    Thus you get £ 8.75 - 90p - 14p - 49p - 86p = £ 6.37

I have six books to be relisted cos the time is up. All of them have a question mark before the price and when I go to submit I keep getting an error message so cannot relist. Anyone else got this glitch?

easy questions for the more experienced out there

once you have waited the initial 14 days, will it automatically pay into the bank account specified in the account settings, or do you have to manually tell it to transfer on the 14th day?

also will this clear instantly into the bank account, or will it take a further 5 working days to clear , like a cheque or paypal?

    thanks

Could someone who is pro merchant help me with a query please?
Having upped the number of items I have listed quite considerably in the last few days I have decided I need some kind of referencing system to locate stuff. I thought I would be able to edit my listings to utilise the SKU field, but I can't find it.
Does anyone know if I can get to it by editing, or will I have to unlist and then relist everything ?

    Hi HG

Bad news I'm afraid, the only way to add an SKU is by delisting and relisting, either manually or via the uploader.

    Sorry,

Best way is to add a SKU at the beginning or end of your sellers comments box. Unless you want to delist and relist every item :(
