no trouble for me this evening...don't think that was the answer you were really looking for though!!
Quick q for you amazon experts..
as an amazon newbie, i am now getting my first feedbacks (all good so far!!), i see you can respond to feedback, but i assume this is only to reply to less than favourable feedback and its not as you would leave a good response a la ebay?0 -

Hi tee pee just tried and I can also log in ok - can you contact them from the homepage rather than trying to go through your seller account?bluestu wrote:as an amazon newbie, i am now getting my first feedbacks (all good so far!!), i see you can respond to feedback, but i assume this is only to reply to less than favourable feedback and its not as you would leave a good response a la ebay?
You are right Bluestu - feedback on Amazon is not deified in the way it is on Ebay I think partly 'cos Amazon take the payment so there's no issue of 'prompt payer' etc etc. Not much you could leave in the way of feedback for every buyer who left a positive score that would be different. Of course if there is a complaint or grumble in the feedback, lot of sellers take the opportunity to put their side of the issue or explain what happened so its useful to have that option. Unfortunately, some buyers don't contact the seller if there's a problem and just mention it in the feedback which means it is often too late to address the issue......0 -

Not sure how you get feedback! I've sold about 10 items since the middle of December, but have yet to receive a single feedback!Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0 -
I am soooo embarrased to type this but I was spelling my password wrong!!!!!!!! And to make it worse it is my daughter's name so you'd think I could at least remember to spell that.!!!!
Bin a long day0 -

It can take a while but I think Amazon send an email either 3 weeks or a month after the item is bought asking buyers to rate the transaction so you may start to get some soon?
You are obviously still selling items though with no feedback and it doesn't seem to mean as much on Amazon. Not all buyers leave feedback even after a reminder - not sure what other sellers experience is but only about 1 out of 5 buyers have left any for me.0 -

GoldenEye wrote:Is anyone still having problems with Amazon Marketplace? I sold an item a couple of days ago and it took approximately 15 hours for the money to be deposited in Amazon payments and to receive a subsequent "Sold, Dispatch Now" email. I sold some more stuff today but the sold items are still being listed in open listings albeit with "0" quantity (and not in "Closed Listings" and no money deposited).
I've just had the very same thing. I listed an item 2 days ago and it seems to have sold immediately. Shows on open listings as '0 qty' and lets me amend the price. However, just received an email from Amazon saying "We're sorry to inform you that payment from the buyer for the following item(s) have been delayed:"
I hope it goes through as it was bought at the initial price which I have since lowered in order to get a quick sale! Here's hoping...GoldenEye wrote:If you're a normal Marketplace seller (not PM), to calculate how much you will earn from a sale: Add up the total sale amount including postage. Amazon take 25% of this value as fees.
I've checked that and Amazon haven't taken 25% of any of my sales. I have only sold DVDs and electrical items though, so maybe for books it does work.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0 -
How madly annoying. I've had a query from a potential buyer about a teen novel I've got listed for about £50 - it's out of print and moderately difficult to find, but mostly I'm still fond of it and would be reluctant to let it go except for a big chunk of wodge. (Even though I haven't read it for about fifteen years).
But they wanted to know if the dustjacket was the correct British one or the 'wrong' American one. Aaaaargh! I stated clearly in the listing that it didn't have a dustjacket.
(Pause for little dancing hissyfit).
Still more aggravating, I've had this book for years and I have a feeling that at one point it DID have one, but it got torn and I threw it away...
Well, goodbye fifty quid!0 -
I've just had an emailing saying half price to go Pro seller until 5th Feb, and is open to anyone not Pro within the 6 monthsSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0

Thanks Hoddie. Amazon is still not working properly. Three items were sold out on my account yesterday but not confirmed in "Closed Listings". This happened around 16:00. I checked at 23:30 and two were back on sale and one was pending like yours: "We're sorry to inform you that payment from the buyer for the following item(s) have been delayed". I decided to ignore it and went to bed.
I woke up this morning to find I sold five items (my biggest in one day and all sold within 3 hours)!! I'm not too bothered now.
Sorry Hoddie about the 25% thing. I know for video games the approximate percentage in fees is 25% (I use this to mentally calculate) . For exact calculations, I use a spreadsheet.
Good luck on your sales!0
