i have already got a listing and i deliver to the uk, but i want to edit that so i can set it to ship to internationally to.. so how can i set it to show that i will sell internationally aswell? thanks

If you go to your open listings on the seller account page just click "edit" on the item where you want to change to international and a page appears where you can change the option from UK only to either Europe only or USA and Europe or worldwide.

You simply do each listing separately.

  • apprentice tycoon - regarding my query on the last thread - I was referring to padded mailers. So yes, jiffy bags, but vikings own-make rather than actual Jiffy bags.

What sizes will I need small, medium & large?

    Cheers.
  • I was asked to send a book to a buyer on behalf of a seller that couldn't find their copy, I don't think that the buyer was told as I was asked to use the original seller's address as the return...good luck with it.

Oh err - I wonder if that was me, I usually ask if the seller will put my address as the return address and to not include any 'inserts'.

if i goto create a new listing for example, i get no option for international, only domestic

    thanks

Just checking, you are trying to list books aren't you? There are some items that can't be sold outside of UK and Europe - don't ask me what they were, I just noticed it when listing - poss electronic games?

Sorry, I was using 'jiffy' as a generic term, Mail Lite are the cheapest that Viking sell and if you use size D/1 and F/3 they will cover about 75% of your book sizes, larger ones get wrapped in bubble and plastic

No, it wasn't you because I directed him to MSE and I think that you'd have mentioned that you knew it well!
  • From last thread - Used payperdrop_uk from ebay for an expensive book that was heavy - next day £5.99 - cheaper than parcel post!!! Was going to use the other one mentioned on the thread but he had withdrawn all his £3.99 ones early.

Just to let you know about my recent experience with Kevin the Courier £3.99. I booked 4 packages on Sunday night for my heavy Ebay sales. My very friendly Parcel Force man (PFM) turned up on Monday to collect 1 parcel - he had no record of the other 3. I tried phoning Kevin - the number on the website did not work :( So I had to let PFM go.

I emailed Kevin and got the response that I needed to resubmit the 3 outstanding parcels. I did this Monday night and PFM turned up on Tuesday to collect 1 parcel + 3 parcels - I only had 3 parcels. Anyway, his paperwork matched up with 1 parcel so we were happy that it would be okay.

PFM asked if he could hold on to the other 2 so that he didn't have to come back again - for when the other parcels got 'sorted out'.

Well after lots and lots of emails - if only we could have had a phone conversation!!!! PFM confirmed yesterday lunchtime that the paperwork was now all in order and the final 2 parcels could be despatched :j

The first 2 were delivered on Wednesday, the other 2 are still on their way.

I had noticed that Kevin had delisted his £3.99 offer and has picked up another negative - sounding a bit like my experience - I guess he has been inundated as it is such a good rate.

I would use Kevin again - it did all eventually get sorted - I have kept my buyers informed every day so they know I am on the case - but it has been extremely time consuming and I have 'fretted so' :(

Kevin also has ALOT of repeat custom so on the whole he is clearly very reliable - I just got unlucky.

As mentioned by someone else on the earlier thread, I agree that the service that only offers 1 delivery should be steered well clear of - otherwise they will try and charge your customer for a 2nd delivery - very cheeky.

I have spotted this seller's special offer which looks real good if you are likely to sell 10 x 10kg items in the course of a month and he uses Parcel Force http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10x10KG-UK48hr-Parcel-delivery-online-trackable-3-80ea_W0QQitemZ290072083191QQihZ019QQcategoryZ121879QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I will probably give him a go if Kevin doesn't relist next time I have a heavy sale.

Well another sale today, £8.84 after fees. I'm quite sad at this one, its a (getting increasingly) rarer Bon Jovi VHS..but I need all the cash I can get at the moment...and since I sold my VHS player on Ebay its not much use!
