wonderful feedback praising speed of dispatch/delivery, quality of book, brilliant packing - and then he gives me 4/5 smiley-faces20.gif

But I at least sold a book today after nothing yesterday ... at this rate my target for Feb looks a bit wild .... 42.gif

how will you know that person B is the correct recipient? could be a stooge....maybe ask for photo ID and have them show that to the camera crew to be filmed as well?

well obviously you would have to undertake extensive surveillance of the property beforehand, so you would have to factor in the cost of a dirty rain mac and some binoculars

  • Just when I was about to get back up to 5/5, someone goes and gives me 3 /5 for no reason at all! I'm so cheesed off!

I'd been watching my feedback gradually recover from a 4/5 (again no reason, the words were positive) and I needed one more for it to get to round up to 5/5.

Then I get "thanks, very good" but only 3 out of 5, so I've now got a neutral. Obviously they don't understand the scoring system

I've written the buyer a polite note asking if theres a problem I could do someting about, and if not if they would consider removing the feeback as it makes me look bad. Hopefully they'll do that....
  • Yesterday I saw the pro-merchant offer on amazon, realised yesterday ws the last day to take it up so signed up quick, then i got an email that said i would be paying £25, i emailed the help dept an got an email back that said as the offer only ran 8th Jan to 5th JAN (hhm, I hope that was an oversight of the person who sent it) i wasnt eligable, which really confused me as i thought the offer said sign up from ..??.. till 5th Feb and get 3 months half price, could somebody just clarify what the offer was and if i should be miffed at them or if i misread it? thanks

Woohoo, after a few emails to Amazon they have decided I am eligable for the deal and are re crediting me!!

I've just bought an american published self help book from the charity shop for £1.

Inside the book there is a whole list of items - plane tickets, receipts from Macy's, credit card details, name & addresse, baggage reciepts, boarding pass, more store receipts!! All from 1997 :)

The first list price is £2 and the next price is £30 & there are only 5 for sale - I'm in no rush to sell it so does about £12 - £15 sound ok or would you go higher? All the other sellers are from the US.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

I'd consider the saleability first, and then buy the one for £2 and list mine at £30.

It's finally happened to me. A customer wants a refund. How do I initiate a refund?

I'm frustrated because the customer did not read the listing but I am going to honour it. I sent the item yesterday so as soon as I receive it I will refund.

From your seller account page, click on recent sales, then click on the sale in question and on the right hand side there is a refund button.

You just have to select the full refund option, Amazon will credit the fees to you etc.

Thanks FFM. I'm annoyed because the customer did not read the listings information. I even sent an email to confirm this information and today I received a refund request.

:T Doing that would never have entered my head :o

But then I might end up with 2 books for 2 years before they sell :D

Is there any way to check how well books sell? Sometimes i'll do a completed listing check on Ebay but it obviously wont always relate to how well they will sell on Amazon.
