as for the smell in the kitchen kyle, i bet when dgs3 smashed the eggs from the fridge there might be a bit you overlooked :D

back later, hugs to all xx

just read yesterdays thread kyle, i doubt you will have to go back to eating sugar again lol
  • Morning all! Rubbish day at w*** yesterday. However, as I was on the road, got lots of personal stuff done :D;)

I picked up some Freecycled craft magazines from a craft shop in the town. Lovely shop, so bought some card making bits for DD (she loves them :D ).

There's a new Sainsburys opened near where I was w***ing. Took the opportunity to pick up some bits (including 2 packs of yellow stickered free range bacon, and reduced toiletries for children). I got a game card and *won* a pack of 6 kiwis. When I went to collect they were 8 for the price of 6 :D Pity we're not too keen on kiwis :o

I then picked up some free range eggs at a farm gate, and an organic chicken and some lamb at a farm shop.

I then stopped at the nursery on the way back to the office and bought some seed potatoes, onion, garlic and shallot sets, and a half-price road atlas.

Then on the way home, I stopped for fruit and veg at the farm shop, and bought Seville oranges. Will be chopping them tomorrow.

Chick peas simmering in the Rayburn for veggie burgers tonight.

Off to a benefit tribunal today., then a 4-day weekend :D

See you all later, Penny. x

Edit: Jackie O, your trip sounds great! We went to New York last summer and loved it. We also stayed with a friend who's living in the US for a while. He took us to Washington. Can highly recommend it. Everything you want to see is within walking distance of each other.

    Good morning everyone,

Dark, wet and windy here too, so i think we will spend as much of the day inside as we can!!!
Have 2 LOs here today, one is at nursery this morning, so will be popping in and out all morning, which is a shame, but never mind.
Nothing much planned for today, other than keeping warm. I already have the WM on, and need to empty the DW, i was too tierd last night (and this morning still) went to bed without watching 'deserate housewives', but will catch up next week!!!
Right going to finish my cuppa and get my paid 2 clicks done, been doing them first thing recently, and its been good to get them out of the way before the LOs get here!!!
    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning all.
Just windy and raining here, which is a shame as I really want some snow !!

Gave into temptation last night and went to the supermarket, though only to get the bare essentials so we could actually make some meals with what was left in the freezer. Timed it perfectly and they had reduced all the bakery stuff to 20p, so we got some cookies, muffins, teacakes and danish pastries.

So for breakfast I had some mini danish pastries - yummy, makes a nice change from toast or porridge. Lunch is leftovers from the other night, thankfully we have a microwave at work, and dinner will be homemade-ish pizza, we bought the pizza base, but will add our own toppings.

Tonight is sort out the bedroom night, am going to have a good look under the bed, all sorts of things are lurking under there.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning all, blowing a hooley in this part of the world too but no snow.

DD still off school but at least she got dressed yesterday which was an improvement!

Need a few basics from the supermarket - toilet roll, cat food and the like so will have to venture out at somepoint. I just need to make sure I don't comfort buy, and to stick within the (very strict) budget I have available!!

Couscous and chicken made for packed lunches and some sort of cheesy vegetable bake for dinner I think.

Have a good day and don't get blown away!

    Morning all

N9eav - mundane sort of desribes me to a tee - maybe we could form a club...

Weather sounds awful out there -I'll walk DD's to school to make sure they don't fly off on route - it's times like this when I wish I could drive! DH will be caught up in the traffic on his way home tonight - I'm sure the ferries will all be cancelled so "operation stack" will kick in and the motorway will become a giant lorry park again (it's a right royal pain in the bum)

I really must get motivated to do something today - I'm aiming to do a load of washing, tidy and clear surfaces in the kitchen and do half an hours ironing...then I've got some card orders to make up which can be done whilst watching a dvd this afternoon.

Turkey (from chirstmas) and veggie pie for tea - topped with mash instead of pastry though with cabbage and carrots.

    Hugs all round.

    Good morning everyone,
Very windy here in Worcester too.

My mum's over today, not sure what we'll do yet.

Yesterday was a good day again diet-wise. I made a batch of choc-chip buns for the kids and didn't eat any :j I stuck to my points again and feel really positive.

Kids are eating porridge and toast (with hm blackberry jam), I'll have some fruit later. Must try not to eat cakes in cafes with mother this morning ;)

Kids have got ham sandwiches (from a joint I cooked last week, sliced and froze), choc-chip buns, fruit for their lunches.
Me and mum will have ryvitas and smoked salmon and salad.

Supper is going to be mackerel - not sure how to cook it yet. I'll certainly get my omega threes today ;)

    Have a good day everyone:)
