Evening everyone,
I was just sitting down to type this when a friend that I hadn't spoken to for ages called, hence it being a little later in the day than normal! It was good to speak to her and catch up.
I only had supply work for this afternoon, which was quite nice as I got to lie in bed for a little longer than normal. This was lethal as I wasn't overly productive, but I DID manage to change the sheets on the bed.......
I popped into Mr T's on the way home from the assignment today for a loaf of bread and the newspaper (for the Telegraph's Eat out for £5 vouchers). BIG mistake, as ever. The yellow sticker section of the chilled food was full to bursting, so I just had to relieve some of the strain that the shelves were under. I have a sherry trifle (small portion) for my supper and goodness knows how much else to squeeze into the freezer. However, I think that some of it (eg the stewing steak) will get used for when my friends' parents have supper with us on Saturday night. The pizza will probably get eaten on Sunday night as an "easy" supper.

Hello everyone.
The weather here has been really bad today. Whilst having our lunch in the staffroom part of the roof of the school came crashing down! Luckily all of the children were inside at the time, so we then had to close the school and start phoning parents etc. I'm not sure if we will be able to go in tomorrow, it depends how secure the rest of the roof is!
Also, just around the corner from our road a tree came down and blocked a very busy road. It has been pretty chaotic today so I'm quite glad to be in my nice warm home!0 -
:rotfl: he's sussed it, he says send it and we'll put it in the freezer when it gets here to make snow again, oh how lovely it would be to be 5 again and think you can fix anything! He even got his Nana to post him sand from the desert before, he didn't explain he wanted enough to fill a sand pit and was very unhappy when the ENVELOPE arrived!
Just spent £13.50 on a huge amount of fruit and some veg from delivery lady, enough for 10 a day I think this week instead of 5 :rotfl: but we've been having much more fruit so I shall not moan as it's usualy harder to get the kids to eat so much of it.One day I might be more organised...........

Hi Peem - I ordered this the other day along with the excellent 8 recipe books for £5 deal from The Book People - the CG soup book cost £15 in my local posh bookshop, but it was next to nothing (can't remember exactly what) from The Book People.
Pooky - can I have your recipe for chicken burgers please?

Evening All
Thread is sooo long so have only skimmed so hope everyone is ok. Horrible watching the news and seeing how many people have lost their lives today because of the weather - lots of lorry drivers too but luckily all ours are alright. Mind you they are stuck in traffic - long day today.
Myself havnt done much - really havnt done much all week. Just been feeling really tired and under the weather. Hopefully will catch up weekend when everything is back to normal. Have a long ride booked for tomorrow weather permitting. Puppy is doing well today only a couple of accidents but need to go and stand in the back garden with him in a while in a minute. Hopefully he wont take long coz it isnt pleasant out there at the moment.
Gona have a early one tonight. Dalziel and Pasco is on sky so will be watching that.
Have a great evening.0 -

evening everyone... spent the afternoon trying to save the trampolene !!!!! the winds have bent one of the metal poles that hold the net up, i was struggling like mad when my neighbours son came out and gave me a hand, it was like something from a film.. trying to get the net off and to keep hold of it and try to keep my balance on the trampolene was all too much... yep i fell !!!!didnt get hurt though.. just felt silly.. managed to get it all off ok, but my daughter was so upset when she got home and saw the state of it.. its not even a month old yet .. £160. !!!! will contact the company and ask for help, but i dont think they will as its classed as storm damage i think, dont know if it will be covered by the house in surance, will have to find out.
hope everyone has got home safe,
going to watch eastenders and BB.

Good evening all, the weather has improved somewhat and fortuantely a colleague gave me a lift home after work so I didn't get soaked, phew!!
The 2 eldest are still awake and so I will go and chase them in to bed after Emmerdale.
We had some frozen home made lasagne for tea and salad and I made some garlic bread to go with it and it was delicious.
<<<<hugs>>>> to all who need it.
