    Good evening everyone,

Mushy peas - the second date obviously went well!!! (i had wondered!!!) Hope he didnt have to spend too long stuck on the train.

Had a lazy afternoon, managed to get loads done this morning, and my 2 had german lessons after school, so didnt have to race up there either, so feeling quite chilled now!! Have a friend coming around later with a bottle of wine - dont know if i should have any, as ive been trying to diet and have stayed clear of alcohol, but maybe it would be rude not too??!!
Have to finish wiping down the kitchen after dinner, put the DW on and nip the hoover around in a minute, also need to get DS and DD into the bath.

((HUGS)) to anyone still feeling poorly, and i hope everyone who is attempting to go out tonight stays safe,
    Have a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Evening alljust skimmed through - my you're a chatty bunch!

Chardonnay - love the photos, I'm off to phone my mum after this to see how things are with her in her little bit of Fife.

Been at work all day - was supposed to go to London this morning but the plane was delayed and so I made the decision not to go (had heard all the weather forecasts). So glad I didn't cos the flight back up was cancelled and I would have struggled to get home at all. The meetings weren't exactly essential anyway.

Picked my jeans up from the menders - finally they will be short enough for my little short legs.

chicken soup for dinner (non os as it's the covent garden thai chicken one again)I've just realised covent garden have a recipe book out - wonder if this soup is in it. I'll go and have a nose.

Right - need to empty WM and sort kitchen and supper out for kiddiwinkies.

Here's a friends funny comment of the day for you to share. This friend likes all the new fangled pills you get for things, in all honesty drives me potty with it, anyway she says 'Got these new pills they are really good' other friend says 'What are they called?' she said 'I can't remember I'll just get them out of my bag it's on the label' She proceeded to get them out of the bag, they were 'MEMORY' tablets for improving your memory supposedly. I don't think they work then :rotfl: Most comedians can't even write sketches as funny as the things she comes out with in real life :rotfl:

It did! :o Poor man only got off the train an hour ago (left at 9am  ). He has been put up in a kitsch hotel (his words). Poor thing, didn't even get to his destination.

Catowen - I think it would be very rude of you not to have a drink ;)

I'm still at work :( Bit behind with my hours and spent too long on MSE today!! Hopefully the tubes would have sorted themselves out by the time I try to get home.

I've written myself a list on flylady thread so need to stay motivated!!

What a horrid day - just been watching the news with all the storm damage stories on.....

DH can't get home at the moment - so he's staying for an extra hour to see how things go - he's in insurance so said he can happily fill his time helping on the claims desks - you can imagine the amount of claims that have gone in already.

DD1 went to tea at a friends last night - she said she must have looked a bit shocked when dinner was put in front of her because the girls mum asked....."Ohhh I thought you'd like chicken burgers, mash and peas"....to which DD1 replied - "Oh I do - but only the HM sort" - she said the burgers were disgusting and couldn't eat them, the mash was packet stuff and the peas were tinned marrowfat ones......She told the girls mum that her mum made gorrrrgeouss chicken burgers...the mum replied - "you can't make chicken burgers at home - the proper ones come in a box".....DD1 suggested I pass on my reciepe - I'm not sure it would go down so well!!! :rotfl:

I finally realised, after washing down the cupboard fronts and plucking my eyebrows, that I feel better - about time too! So bring it on - next week see's me attack every room!

Chardonnay - Fantastic piccies - We get snow like that being on high ground - I love it - can't wait!

Pleased to hear you're feeling better Pooky, and hmmm I think the parent could either appreciate or hate you for the recipe, must admit that would have been me last year (premade everything) not any more :)

Chardonnay my son has asked if you could send him some snow please as he wants to play on his sledge and make snowmen with Dad, just tried to explain it would melt in the post :rotfl:

DD(13) was feeling ill with a really sore throat and a slight temperature so have spent the day curled up with her and making up posh invalid trays for her.

She has just polished off home made egg fried rice and says she is feeling better.

Was going to walk to supermarket (20 mins away) but it was so windy I just went to the corner shop instead!

Hugs to everybody and may be more productive tomorrow but enjoyed the special time with DD. DH agreed with me and is not the type to fret too much over domestic routine (just as well!) lol;)
