RBS said they sent me an offer on the 13th Feb...and its the 07th March and the letter is still not been received... I called yesterday and was told another was sent out first class...at first she said i would get it by the 11th April because of the backlog... I questioned really?
I mentioned that they are already 2 weeks past the FSA 8 week response time and that I had already raised by concerns regarding the delays in getting a simple letter to me...then I was told the letter would be with me in 7 days....

Just had another battle with RBOS PPI, the website states 28 days, but they are stating 28 working days, having had my claim accepted on the 11th of June, they still can't tell me as to which date it will be paid out, and no text as of yet. Does anyone know what the average payment length from acceptal letter till actual payment0

Day 1 - I called RBS PPI line.
Day 5 - Received 8 letters confirming PPI investigations.
Day 8 - Received an offer of £1954 for 1 loan.
Day 9 - Sent acceptance via 'normal' post.
Day 11 - Text received saying letter received.
Day 14 - Funds in account.
Day 20 - Heard nothing about the other claims!

You haven't had a battle, you've sent a letter.
Has your complaint been upheld or have you only sent the complaint form in?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

For me even to get the claim in took me 6 phone calls, firstly I neveer even knew I had a PPI, never recieved a letter, analysing my account which I hadn't used for over a year I noticed the balance had been slowly dropping through charges. Contacted direct banking (I am currently out of the country) to question the charges, they inform me its my PPI, when I ask what PPI they put me through to charges, charges can't help or cancel it, tell me to visit my branch. I ask to be put through to my branch, they put me through to DB again who can't give me my branch phone number.
Finally get my branch phone number, who put me through to charges, who then pass me to DB again and so the circle goes on, I wanted to know what PPI I had as I had never signed or taken one (Never had a loan or a CC) eventually get tranferred to PPI who take the details and inform me I will have a confirmation letter to my UK address within a week.
2 weeks later no letter, go round the houses to get through to the department, they inform me the letter was sent out and a replacement will cost me. I ask for the direct dial number.
4 weeks later still nothing, phone the direct dial number I was given.......... which puts me through to charges department, eventually get a contact and a number that works and they inform me the judgement letter will be sent within the next 2 weeks.
Next day I get a letter with my offer, I accept and respond on the same day (Lucky I was back in the country), I speak to them last week to chase it up, they state the letter was recieved on the 11th of June and will be paid within 28 days and I will have a text to tell me as to when it will be paid in (7days prior) I phone them again to chase up as no text and no payment (18 days into the 28 days) to be told that it is 28 WORKING days, I state no thats not what your PPI page states on the RBOS webpage, oh thats wrong. Sorry that is your published terms and conditions. Can you tell me will it be paid within the 28 days, "I've no idea, depends how busy they are, thanks for your call" Its like getting blood from a stone, quick enough to money from my account on something I have never signed for (and they have accepted that I have never signed for a PPI) but not as quick paying it back0 -
If your balance was zero, then you were paying insurance for your overdraft? or paying charges for the bank account? Your post isn't clear.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

I was sent an offer on 30th August that arrived through my front door on Sat 6th September. I replied yes and sent it back the same day. As it went 2nd class, I figured the earliest it would get to them would be Wed 11th. Today is Mon 23rd September and I had heard nothing, no text as promised, no funds and no letter.
I ring them today (23rd Sept) to find they actually received it on the 12th September, but rather than contact me, they have stopped the payment process because my signature is not matching (my loan was taken out in 2006 and I cant remember the last time I had to sign for something with chip and pin being the way of the future, it probably was a bit off).
I'm going to my local branch now to give them 2 forms of ID (with photo) and they will send of a stamped photocopy of these IDs. I was given the address to give to the bank to send them worryingly.
Will update later once payment has been received0 -

Went to the bank and they said they would send off internally rather than to the PO Box address the signature verify needed to go. I heard nothing for 5 working days so called. They had not got my signature but it could take "9 working days to register". Got a letter dated 12th September on 27th September stating my signature did not match (basically what the call I made on 23rd divulged) I checked my bank account every day anyways and thankfully the money was received 3rd October.
So 30th August letter sent out confirming refund would be made, 12th Sept Natwest received my confirmation, 23rd Sept Natwest confirmed signature did not match, 3rd October money paid out. A bit annoying I didn't get any texts and letters dated 2 weeks before receiving but not much more than a month to receive funds, I recommend people call for an update on a weekly basis.0
