  • I posted it Sat (11th ) and today (16th) i have had a payment in my account, not the full amount though! Do they pay interest seperately?

I can't believe how quick it was, i had no messages beforehand though!

  • My wife had an offer made to her from Natwest which she had accepted, she never heard anything, so called today to just have a follow up.

She was told, everything is ok, we have sent you a letter, when you recieve it, you must go to the bank to verify your signiature with a passport, then the payment process will begin.

    Is this normal?

I've had the same request myself after sending off my acceptance offer . The letter stated that my signature didn't match their records. I got my letter last week and went to the bank who had to send the form back to London. Just waiting now been told it could take up to 10 days for them to recieve it.

Ah, thank you for the response.

Why all this is necessary I don't know, I may ask the bank if they can Fax it, although i would imagine there's some ridiculous rule against that.:mad:
  • Hi there,

My claim has been going on since the 22nd June, I sent my acceptance form back via special delivery on the 6th August and after god knows how many phone calls and fob offs it finally it their system on the 31st August!!:mad:

    RBS are a complete shambles!!

I am playing the waiting game for MY money now...wish me luck:)
  • Sent my acceptance off registered post on Saturday, the post office site says delivered 10th September.I have an account with Natwest - I will post updates ie, confirmation of receipt/payment/any further correspondence etc.

From what I'v read this could be anything from a 6 day to a 6 week wait...wish me luck!

Our acceptance letter was sent back 31st August and we've now received all our money.
We had two loans with ppi to be refunded, the first small loan was paid in two payments, ppi refund then interest the next day. Then the larger loan was paid in the same way yesterday.
  • Unreal! I as I said earlier, I sent my acceptance Registered Post on Saturday - just checked my account and payment has been made including separate interest payments!!!

    Happy days :-)

Good luck to you all and thanks to everyone who has provided good advice

Seems like i'm getting the run around from Natwest at the minute rang up the other day to see if my signature has been verified only to be told that now there is a problem with my offer as it was worked out wrong but not to worry as a new one was being sent out. There was a loan account missed off so the offer would be higher. Well received the offer today only to find it to be £1000 less than my original one. When I spoke to them on the phone the lady told me that the offer was wrong but couldn't tell me what it should be over the phone as she didn't send the offer but she would speak to the payments team to see what is happening and would be in touch. Very frustrating
  • Still getting the run around from Natwest, went to the bank to verify our signatures, called the bank a while later and was told they had recieved them on the 3rd of September and the 28 days limit would begin then.

Called up again a couple of days ago, and was told that due to a problem at their end the 28 day limit would now start on the 11th of this month.

When I pointed out that their problem was hardly our fault, we were told the best they could do was put a note on the account asking if they could speed it up.:mad:
