Ryanair Cash Passport, i can't get it.. can you?

Just to give a final update - I received my card yesterday and have activated it today.

@clearmydebts - read my previous two posts. I have tried to explain the process as I had to go for the manual method too. Hope this helps.

I don't want to give them my landline number. Has anyone tried using the old 01234567890 and managed to get a card delivered? Has anyone been telephoned by them on the landline number? Even if I did give them a genuine number, I still wouldn't answer their call, as I screen all numbers before answering and wouldn't answer an unknown number from a unknown exchange.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Or do we all just have to pay MOL his £6 pppf now? It will add 50% to the flights I want to book, so still a bargain, but more annoyed that he is getting away with this fraud ...

Have tried to apply online with various browsers and no luck. Applied via the manual method, sent off the scans etc and got an order no. Tried making first payment using HSBC online by paying as family or small business but it said I had to put it through as a nominated payee. It comes up as Travelex M/C. Tried paying to this account and get the error:
"The transaction code you have entered is invalid. Please follow the instructions to generate a new transaction code and try again. (OLR_0043)"
I've even tried preceeding my order no. with 8 zeros to make it up to 16 digits but still get the same error.
I started this over a week now and I'm now stuck. This is very frustrating. I never had any problems setting up my prepaid mastercard with FairFX which is now useless thanks to Ryanair changing their policy.
Just have to wait & see if Access Prepaid get back to me......

Yes, it works in Chrome browser. How it is possible that nowadays, this company uses a system that it is not compatible with a browser as Firefox!!

Failed to get the card on 3 occasions with message
cannot process your transaction at this time. I had just used my barclaycard for a cash transaction with another card and decided to have another shot at getting this one and for some reason my barclaycard was accepted. However my problem is now I cannot reload the card using the same barclaycard.
I have a double barrel name with a hyphen which the site would not accept so I put the whole name together and it accepted it --- kept telling me to put in my surname. It accepted my barclaycard as payment and that card has my name with the hyphen. Cashpassport Card arrived within 3 days. I have now been trying to reload it and it will not accept the same barclaycard and I can only think it is the surname is causing the issue. I telephoned the contact number and feel I went around the world with all the automated messages with american accents and spoke to nobody. I then emailed ryanair who forwarded my issue to access cardservices who replied to me asking me for ID which I have sent to them and now wait with baited breath to see if they will amend my surname.. Access cardservices wish to give us all good customer service as long as they dont
have to talk to you.... some customer service.
Interesting one..... I have lived in various countries and had various types of credit cards and never had an issue but applying for this one beats me.

I would add that I also tried to used my visa debit card which it would not accept. The issues is not on the list of Banks on the site so I have assummed that is the reason for that refusal.

not working with google chrome, IE6 7 and 8, and natwest visa debit.

I'll send an email to moneysaving that they update the article that the card is not working,

Im new to all this, so I get the prepaid card and then dont get charge ryanair admin fees but my flight is £195 so if i pay that on to card and then when it gets delivered the flight price as gone up what do I do? Thanks

nothing you can do I suppose,
you can top up with a little more than what the price is today hoping that by the time the card arrived, the price is still under what you topped up.

Note also that if funds are not used for 6months, there is some large charge that you incur.

in any case, I couldn't even get to order it, I'm convinced the they have hacked in some algorithm to reject most requests.
This makes sense a 100% that Ryanair would do such a thing, all in all the flight price remains cheaper than for alternative airlines.

Whether this is technically legal is totally a different story. Unfortunately, only when some brave soul spends time and energy to hassle ryanair and pursue such things that ryanair would stop it.
perhaps worth notifying the office of fair trading?
