Hi, any luck so far with ryanaircashpassport? I've tried 3 different cards (visa and visa credit), different browsers and i'm getting same error on 3D Secure screen. Have someone have got problem solved or answer from Ryanair? I sent an email to customer service today and waiting for reply.0

many thanks for all your posts with your experiences...
i can now update, with the email i have just received from Access_Cardservices
We have reviewed your applications to purchase the Ryanair Cash Passport, unfortunately you have not passed the security checks required to purchase online and will not be able to purchase this card.
Thank you

with regards to my own situation
Yes i am on the electoral roll,
I have a mortgage, bank account, credit card etc and i have never defaulted on any payment for any service i am registered with, so i am shocked that i am refused this card, bearing in mind that the card issuer will be sitting on some of my funds indefinitely. my only assumption can be, i am a regular ryanair flyer (for my sins), about once a month, and by applying for this card, would imply i would continue to be a regular flyer with ryanair, so i am prime candidate to force into a position of paying these 'admin' charges.
oh well, i guess i'll be asking a family member to get the card instead0 -
i have just emailed them again to ask, if perhaps, as they claim it was to do with failing security checks, could it be to do with the landline number, which was required for the application, because i possibly may of missed the call, as i have not been in the UK, and wont be back for a few days still... so i'll expect a reply in a similar timeframe as before... 12 days.
thanks again
PS. If you have been accepted for the Cash Farceport, are you a regular or occasional Ryanair passenger?0 -

Rustopha - I've tried getting a member of my family to apply for a card as well. They are not a frequent flyer with Ryanair. Unfortunately their application didn't fare any beter than mine. Good luck.0 -

No option for help in initial purchase. I went round the menus again and tried 'lost card'. The call center told me they could not see if the transaction went through and to check my bank a/c. I won't see a debit for 1 or 2 days. I guess it hasn't worked but I haven't even bought the damn card yet and the service is pants.
Of course O'Leary would be thrilled if no-one bought one of these cards!ludders wrote:card details entered using lloydstsb visa, goes to the next page where it states
Card verification
Please fill out the form below to complete your transaction.
It may take a few moments for your order to be submitted. Please DO NOTclose this window.
Big problem with that is there isnt anything to fill in?????????????????
I am having exactly the same problem - screen froze and finally timed out. Did you find a solution, Alunmorris or Ludders?0 -
:xmassign: from everyone at Ryan air. just to cheer you guys up.
Seems that sticking 2 fingers up at the FSA over card charges is not good enough. The crappy card that is the only way to avoid card charges is harder to get than a four leaf clover.
Security checks to load a card with your own money, do me a favour !
where O where are the defenders of Ryan air on the MSE Forums ? :shhh::shhh::shhh:
Usually so loud and vocal in their praise of Mr ' O Leary. spring forth and defend this please.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
I've got a good mind to do a Depardieu on one of Leary's planes!0

so, i have decided to try again, just out of curiosity, like...
so, with my visa debit...
i get the same message, and still i don't even get the card verification screen
Sorry...
We are unable to continue with your online Ryanair Cash Passport order at this time.
Thank you for choosing Ryanair Cash Passport.
which i guess implies i'm rejected before the payment is even up for verification with my card issuer.
so, next up, is my mastecard pre-paid, the one i use for ryanair flights normally...
on selecting Maestro/MastercardDebit from the dropdown menu, and entering my exact card details,
hit Submit...
i get this message in a little Windows popup
"Message from webpage"
Please re-check the Maestro card number you have entered as it is invalid..
so obviously the number has been checked, double checked and re-checked
and next attempt...
if i change the dropdown menu to Mastercard Credit, with the same card number etc, and hit submit, the same screen, with all my details reloads with a new message at the bottom
Error!
The card number you have entered does not match the card type you have specified.
so i cant even get to submit my application using a pre paid mastercard.
Goodness me, what a palava!!!
Once again, thank you to sharing your experiences with this Ryanair promoted but most elusive fee saving option.. The Cash FarcePort!0 -

Strange my reply post has gone?
Got my card it arrived yesterday the fault was mine. Thanks to alisha2008, it made me think.
I have an acer netbook that has a fast access part and a full computer access part, as i was using the fast or splash part the additional security section did not display, once i reverted to full computer it did.
If you dont know your password it allows you to reset, which to me seems daft!
Oh and re frequency of flights question, i fly twice/three times a year max:A
Happy hunting... off to spend on my netteller card now!0
