  • Thanks KP. Oh tell me about it. Money runs through my fingers like water. Not sure if £50 is enough though for 5 adults and a dog...but I'll give it a go. Lots more home cooking than processed is the order of the day and hopefully that will keep the shopping budget down. Out of that has to come DSs lunches as well as OHs not including all other meals...aaarrrghhh what have I set myself!
Can't wait for my main meal, I'm starving. Hope I can stick to this, day one's not even over yet lol

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

  • I know KP. I'm going to give it a good go though. Having a menu for last week really did help even though I was off for most of the week. Good job because I really wasn't up to much.
Didn't get in till gone half three this morning we were at my cousins and I am soooo tired today. Still we had a laugh. (was naughty and had some oven chips though aaaaggghhh)
Diet wise today I have stuck to it with my cereal and I'm just going to make my main meal (later than I wanted really) and chill out watching 'New Tricks' and 'George Gently'
    Onwards and upwards next week...:)

  • Followed my Vitality plan today. Went to ww and have lost 3 and 1/2 pounds. Can't all be down to the vitality plan as only started it on Saturday! So to get back to 8 stone I need to lose 11 pounds now. Not sure if I want to go that low again but I'll just see how it goes.
Still a bit achey from the virus but feel lots better than I did.
Going to have a dip and be in bed before midnight with a bit of luck.
Spent some money on post and although I haven't yet done my main shop for this week I'm optimistic that I'll be very close to my budget :)

Me and my diary...more like the ramblings of the bewildered and you are more than welcome to peruse them :)
Have stuck to my 'diet' again today but I am starving now. Have to drop DS off at a mates then do some food shopping after. I just want to lie on the couch and nod off.
Not sure what I want for my main meal yet, it's supposed to be a jacket potato but I don't fancy that at all!
    Oaky off I go...

Good luck with the diet will read what its about when i get upto it..take care xx
  • Hi Taxi. The special k diet is the two week kick start. You have a bowl of special k for breakfast, a mid morning snack, then another bowl of special k for lunch, another mid afternoon snack then a main meal for tea. Though I'm using asda Vitality cereal which is almost the same, to me, but doesn't contain milk.
If you google special k diet it will tell you all about it. I've stuck to it since saturday up to now. And not had any bread, I love bread, though I did get some weightwatchers bagels today :)
Did my shopping as planned and managed to save £8. Will need bread and other bits I'm sure so that will go towards that.
Must get off to bed now. I can't believe how fast the evenings whizz by. Taking the hot water bottle up with me as well!

Thanks for explaining the diet ..sounds good...am uptopage 13 of your diary now
  • Hi Taxi...I bet my diary is great for insomniacs, soon gets them nodding off.
Well I'm feeling a bit proud of myself today. DD wanted some plasters and DS some Dr. Pepper. Well on the way to his girlfriends there's a Quality Save and a Tesco. Now at one time I would have ran in Tesco and probably have spent about £5 on other bits too, but told DS to run in Quality Save were he got a box of plasters, a can of DR Pepper and a Pepsi all for less than........£1!!!!!
Can't believe I never cared enough about my hard earned money to be more careful than I have been with it. Not anymore though. And I'm quite enjoying the challenge. For now that is :)
Off to google some recipes for the slow cooker.
    Catch everyone later.
