Been neglecting my diary again! Did the 'Vitality' diet for almost two weeks...it did get a bit boring and up to now lost 4 and half pounds. It may be a little more since so will see at ww on Monday, though these last couple of days I did go off it and ate bread and crisp, naughty things like that, so knowing my luck will probably have put half of it back on! Just need to lose about 10lbs to be back to what I was in my twenties...8 stone. Think 8.4 is more realistic though.
I'm being 'quite' careful with my pennies still, which is good, and not running off to the shops willy nilly as usual. Have stuck to menu plans and for the majority, have stuck to my shopping lists. Have thought again about a 0% balance transfer I've been offered but I still think trying to be ultra careful every week and chipping away at the OD is the best bet for me. If I do balance transfer I think my blinkered eyes would then omit the fact that I still 'owe' the money I'd transfered and I'd run the OD up again...so up to now I'm carrying on like this and hoping that I may have got it down to almost nothing by Christmas. That's my target anyway.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

  • 4 1/2 is still good if you only have a bit to lose and sticking for 2 weeks couldnt have been easy. Im sure another few good weeks and youll be there. The grocery spending under reasonable control as well is a double bonus.

I agree ref the OD thats why Ive decided at the moment not to consolidate. I might have to balance transfer a bit as I have just noticed the deal has ended. Anyways the point was I think it will be less easy to ignore than a loan in the background.

Hiya KP...I think we have to do what feels the right thing for us, and you're right, if my OD was out of sight ie. balance transfer I would conveniently forget I had it lol
As for the diet, guess what I've got cooling at the moment...vegan sponge chocolate cake. Was a recipe from 'justamum' posted on the vegan boards. It was going to be the dark sticky ginger cake but when I opened the syrup tin there wasn't enough, so changed it to the sponge cake. Have got chocolate buttercream icing in the fridge too and alpro soya custard to have with it. So our evening is the special cashew nut rice made earlier, sponge and custard and a recorded Midsomer Murder...Bliss
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend too.

Thanks Taxi...it was really easy to make and is completely dairy free. One of the best vegan cake recipes I've tried.
Was a bit shocked with Midsomer Murder last night! The one on genetics. Hopefully our recorded New Tricks will be more gentle this evening.
Going to have a jacket potato with homemade coleslaw I've just whizzed up in the food processor, later. Did I mention how I love my food processor (more than once I think) lol
Can't believe it's monday again tomorrow all ready. Considering I don't work fridays anymore it still whizzes by at breakneck speed!
Popped to the shops last night to get some bits for our supper and spent £19!!!! Now this wasn't in the budget and made me realise how easily money can disappear when it's not budgeted for. Shopping today came to £56 but have planned meals for every day next week and because OH was with me he gave me the £16 towards it. So paid £40 today and £19 yesterday. Going to have to be careful this week and not be tempted to get bits which I don't need. Have about £8 in 2ps and 1ps to bank so will do that this week, every bit helps :)
Have a lovely evening everyone what's left of it.
