Mmmmmm looks tasty but must resist chocolate. I have been eating small chocolate bars to cover choc cravings.
Hopefully both of us will have will power on spends and healthy eating this week.:j0 -
Hiya KP. Do you put your chocolate in the freezer? Makes each little piece last a bit longer, just a little tip.
Let's hope we both have a good week, money and food wise

No will try that, just the fridge at the moment which does help a bit. DD1 has helped by eating one so run out
:!

Oooh I've just thought KP, why not get some chocolate options in, or those option sachets that you can get in different flavours and when you feel the urge for choc, have one of those chocolate drinks. Would last longer too. As for DD1 eating your choc, sounds like here, you can't have anything for yourself lol

I do that too nip to the shop and spend loads...0

Been trying very hard to keep spending down and to be honest I'm doing ok, which is a surprise! I don't feel the need to be at the supermarket constantly buying food and will have a look in the freezer first to see if I really need to go.
Loan is now paid off whoohoo so now have an extra £268 a month, though not looking at it like this, just thinking the more I keep in the bank the quicker the overdraft is gone.
Also cancelled my gym membership which although was only £20 a month as subsidised via work, I hardly went despite my best intentions, so have saved there. So already this month I am £288 better off!
Was also getting really fed up with my hair. Had grown quite long, layers grown out, side parting, boring so have just had it completely changed today. Now it's just past my shoulders with choppy layers. I really love it too.
Can't believe I've had a week off work already. Wanted to do a lot but my asthma has been a bit up and down due to the weather, just starting to feel okay and back to school on Monday! We've had a lot of work done there at the moment and there is a lot of dust about so hoping that doesn't trigger my asthma off again, which it's prone to do :-(
Going to get a bit hectic here. A bedroom swap between the children so OH getting ready to paint walls etc.
Aside from that God willing all is as it should be...will soon be 'batten down the hatches' weather, which is lovely and cosy in one way, like evenings when everyone is snuggly and warm, but horrible having to be out in it. Ah well...that's the seasons for you.
Going to do a few rows on my scarf that goes with my crocheted wristwarmers now.
Keep warm

Well done on everything....less spending, loan paid off,gym membership cancelled, new hair do etc.
hope you can keepthe asthma at bay xxxx
you are doing really well0 -
Good to hear things overall going well. Hope you can keep the asthma away.
How about putting the loan repayment away into a savings account wach month then soon you can clear the OD? I bet your like me that if you dont the OD wont improve much!:j0 -
Thanks for the support Taxi and KP
I appreciate it.
Asthma has been ok yesterday and today as long as I don't do a lot of talking, that is still making me a bit breathless which doesn't bode well for work. On Monday I'm starting a new intervention for the year 5 children which will use a lot of drama techniques, discussing and 'interviewing' book characters etc. I'll have a few days planning first then I'll start it. Gives me a few more days for my chest to improve a bit more otherwise we will be doing miming sessions
Usually when it's been bad I'll have steroids and antibiotics and then get over it but this time it's just making me more breathless and over a longer period. Ah well...I'll be 'reet' as we say up North.
Have just crocheted a lovely snowflake and hope to do a few more to make into a Christmas garland or something but I need a printer. I hog the computer by sitting at it reading patterns.
Cheap printers are ok but then the ink costs a fortune. Going to have a browse around here and see if anyone has recommended a good one.
Thanks for the suggestion KP but I think I'm just going to leave the 'extra' money in my account and just take out less. Money comes out for savings anyway, which does seem that I've got my priorities wrong but I remember seeing something on here to a link that said when you get paid you should always first pay yourself. This explains it a bit better http://beginnersinvest.about.com/cs/personalfinance1/a/051701a.htm
So I upped my savings a bit more and I try not to touch them.
I know it goes against what Martin says but I think we have to adapt to what works best for us.
So off to have a browse then off to get a printer. Have got a £10 voucher for Argos given free off DS when he won some from work so hopefully if I can get one from there. Will sweet talk Oh as well. Though he's busy painting so might be in a grumpy mood lol
Catch you all soon
