Totally agree re the month - we all have those, but theres a positive come out of it, you've realised the mistakes, and know what went wrong.
The 6 weeks hol, like you can say you can meal plan, u can take each day as it comes, and with a tidy out/ declutter - once you've done yours ur welcome to start on both mine and then dds bedroom!! See if theres anything that can be sold,or ebayed....
Has yours broke up from school, ours break up Friday......
Had dds best friend over for a sleepover yesterday, I think the only time they were quiet was eating - said they could watch a dvd in bed, they took The Simpsons Christmas up, within 5 mins dds friend was flat out, dd was sat there eating her friends popcorn - without a care in the world.
Just thinking on one hand its a lot easier to meal plan over the holidays but the money side of things isn't, so maybe take it a week at a time, - maybe start work out all the "I must be paid", then spends, break down into weekly, as one week might be more expensive than the others. If you overspend, then the nxt week, can have a short cut and sides!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi mum2one lol the sleepover. Sounds so cute, and as for watching the Simpsons christmas dvd before we know it Christmas will be here. I always think when we go back after the Summer holidays everything sems to be gearing up towards Christmas!
Youngest DS finished school after his last exam a few weeks ago. He starts college this time. The other two still at home are DD who was 20 on Friday and DS who is 22. Picked DD up from her night out on Sunday morning at 5am!!!! Was practically daylight. Now I feel really tired, think it creeps up on you and zonks you out.
Have got to pop to town to take something back to Marks' so that wil be £15 back in my account. Will go with DH so he can pay the car park though he should be getting to bed soon as he's working later.
Have had a muffin and plum tomato and basil soup so far and I might weigh myself today, but if I haven't lost anything I may get disheartened.
You're right about the meal planning. Think I might just make as much as I can from what we have in the freezer, I know there's stuff in there and I'm sure I can throw something together.
Will pop back on later for an update. Still feeling 'fairly' enthusiastic.

Didn't get a chance to update. Popped to cousins with a bottle of wine we had in (so no spend there) with DD and got rather tipsy
was fun though.
Did well on the moneyfront yesterday. Just bought 3 packets of crisp and taxi home so spent about £4 all together.
Today up to now have spent around £4 but I do need some washing clothes liquid etc so maybe around £5 there as well.
It really does mount up when you take note of everything you're spending.
I am sooooo tired today, definately having an early night tonight.

Spent £30 odd pound in Asda yesterday and today so far have spent about £15. Will try and keep a bit of an update on here re: money spent.
I'm really craving some cake at the moment, had some jam on crusty bread to see if that helped but I want some cake!
LOL I sound like Marjorie Dawes..."Hmmmm I just love cake"
Well it's my birthday tomorrow and I've no idea what I want to do or what I want. I don't really need anything. I would like a sewing machine again but I just don't think I'd ever get round to doing anything on it. Had one a while ago that cost a fortune and I hardly ever used it and only ever mastered straight lines, but did make the curtains when we used to have a camper
Might get some co op doughnuts if they have any...still need cake lol

...just dropped OH off at work, called in the co op and bought jam doughnuts! Had one and now going to have another with a cup of tea. Hmmm not sure how many weightwatchers points they are, who cares :rotfl:
I wonder if subliminally that's why I want cake because of my birthday?

Just having a little drinkypoos with DS, DD and her friend.
Will be picking OH up in the morning and he said should we have a birthday breakfast on the way home at Morrisons? Now I know that doesn't sound romantic but he will have worked for 12 hours and really needs to get to bed, so will do that first thing tomorrow.
There's a band on at the local pub so may go there in the evening.
