Another update. Joined Slimming World 2 weeks ago as I've put a stone on in weight...Anyhow this stone I had in the past lost, by going to WeightWatchers but I really wanted to try something different because I'd got a bit fed up with counting points, then most days I couldn't be bothered.
But on my first weigh in at Slimming World I'd only lost a pound!
Of course this week I have absolutely and totally just not followed it all, I'm such a defeatist. I can't eat the amount of food they tell you to eat at Slimming World. The consultant said I need to eat more this week so my body doesn't think it's on a diet...not sure if vegetable pasty, black peas and packets of crisp along with white muffins are what she had in mind!!!
I suppose if I'm getting in the right frame of mind to lose the stone then maybe I should go back to weightWatchers where I know that when I did follow it, it worked. I'm not calling Slimming World at all, just doesn't feel like it might be for me.
Anyway will be good from tomorrow till Thursday (weigh in day) and will see how I've done.
Been spending like there's no tomorrow, no change there then, have had a few birthdays and bought a few new tops.
Must update my overdraft but it can be quite hard when you look at it with narrowed eyes cos really you don't want to look lol
I so need to get to grips with my spending otherwise my October goal will not be achieved. :(

    Right that is it!!!!
Have updated overdraft sig and as you can see it is ridiculous.
I got my overdraft to zero last year when I paid off my v. card with the loan and the rest I paid in the bank to give me a 'fresh' start.
Why, why, why am I so hopeless. Actually I do know...I need to menu plan and stop popping into Asda and the Co-op 5 times a week and more, for one or two items and practically filling a trolley. And even when I know I only want a couple of things I still get a trolley, so it's just there in front of me saying...'fill me, please fill me', on a subconscious level, you understand lol
Ah I can't complain. I do it, no one makes me.
So I am going to resolve to try harder, to be more sensible and stop listening to 'the voice of the trolley' In fact I won't push a trolley around at all!
Going to go now and do a little crochet, calm myself down.

    Hi mum2one :)
I look at my online banking, panic, then remember that £270 has been going out every month since last October. Will really appreciate having a full wage again and I will not be getting into 'mischief' again (she says)
Now if I remember rightly isn't there a Mexican holiday on the horizon? Hmmm now ask me that question again about swapping places :) Oooh I bet you can't wait and if this years anything to go by you'll soon be packing your suncream.

We've got the before and after (the 4........0..th), Mexico b4, and Dom Rep after. taking dd with, dreading how much she will want to pack. xx

I'm the same, always grab a trolley, easier to put the crutches in, means I end up buying more....

Hey Lizzie just a tip if you are going to the supermarket and must get a trolley even if you are only getting a couple of things get a couple of baskets and put them upside down in the trolley that way less space in the trolley but you still feel like you have a full trolley has worked for me, hope that helps

    Hi mum2one and mz-grim

Those darn supermarkets, they just seem to draw me in like a tractor beam and I really do not even like shopping!!!
Went to town yesterday with hubby and spent more money on clothes and discovered Hotel Chocolat do a great range in vegan chocolate and spent almost £30 on chocolates!!! To be fair I haven't had any decent chocolate in a long time and they will last me. Not sure were they fit in with the Slimming World plan lol
Great tip with the baskets mz-grim. I will definately try that out next time I pop in for a loaf. Do you not get tempted to turn them back the right way and fill them though...
Oh mum2one, me and my overdraft. I've noticed the more I say I'm going to try harder the more I spend. A bit like dieting, the more I say 'healthier eating' the more I want stodge!!!!
I have such good intentions too...
But, onwards and upwards, I will be overdraft free in September, oh yes I will :)

:rotfl:mum2one can you imagine what folks are going to think if they take a peep in our trolleys. We don't care though do we :)
Have just followed a link from the vegan thread to weezl's vegan recipes and made some gorgeous tasting sweetcorn fritters. They literally took 10 minutes to make. Put garam masala in as the recipe suggested and next time think I'll try them with mixed herbs. Will also use the basic recipe and replace the sweetcorn with peas to make pea fritters. Oh they were so nice.
Here's a photo cos they look as nice as they tasted, well I thought so lol
