Hello
Im the same with GC in fact all budgets I seem to lose track I end up doing mid month budgets to work out whats left. One day we might get it!! Good news you have been able to keep up the meal planning Im sure that will have helped.
Just wondered if you ever got rid of the overdraft/cc transfer or if its just in the back ground?:j0 -
Hi KP...Got rid of the overdraft and virgin card by taking out a bank loan for one year at a good rate. Info is in post 738. It feels great too, almost a quarter of the way paid off and in credit every day now, even over Christmas and that's not happened for a few years lol
It was the best decision as now I am a lot more careful with grocery shopping, more due to planning meals and even though I lost track a bit this month it would have been a hell of a lot more at one time!
So our challenge KP this month is to KEEP TRACK, everything I spend I'll write down if I can't get to the computer and then add it on when I can. Not going to set a target, just going to 'be careful' with my money.
Can't believe we're almost at the end of this month!
Keep well

 that rings a bell now about the loan. Good to hear the figure is coming down.
Agree will write everything down from Monday onwards.:j0 -
Okay, will get this down quickly so I don't dwell on it...see sig for update. Yes that really does say £200 odd pound! Now I do have a perfectly good reason for this. Have put some money towards bunk beds for DSs, OH has paid the lions share of it though, and I treated myself to a gorgeous bag from accessorize which was...£35  but I never spend that much on a bag and needed one desperatley, and it's soooooo lovely. Also have done the weeks shopping and menu planned. Oh forgot I bought lots of balls of bright coloured wool and some new crochet needles as I'm finding it very relaxing at the moment. Now I have to be very very careful this month if I still don't want to use my overdraft and of course next month I won't have as much to lay out, the bunk beds alone were nearly £300 and that's only with one mattress, we only needed one because we already have one. But they are suitable and sturdy enough for adults to sleep in so we had to get better quality ones as our DSs are getting older. To be honest I do feel a bit 'sick' that I've spent this much, but at one stage it wouldn't have bothered me, so I suppose that is a good sign
Off to put some potatoes in the oven now to roast. Why does Monday come round so quickly?
Keep safe and warm

Ooch on the bunk beds. My girls are outgrowing there pink pine tallboys but Im dreading having to replace. Really could do with two high beds with desks under neath but thats on the wish list.
Good luck with the to do list. I keep thinking of doing one as it helps having it written done rather than jumping in and out of my head.:j0 -
Hey Hiya KP
How are you feeling now?
I think I've seen similar to what you want on ebay KP. Might be worth having a look. You can always get new mattresses and hopefully the frames may not be too much.
Need to edit post as got a couple of more things done but didn't achieve all of them. Nevermind. I did clean some internal doors, and the front and back door, and that wasn't on my list...:)
Crikey look at the time. I won't be up tomorrow, I mean today, to be going anywhere. Not that I've decided where to go yet!
Better get off to bed.
Keep well huni.

Hope you enjoyed your day even if you didnt get out n about:j0 -
Hi KP
Well done on taking some time out and having that nap. The bodys way of boosting itself. Wish we could have siestas at work, that'd be great wouldn't it?
Hope you get to do a 'to do' list. lol that sounds funny. It really has helped me this weekend.
We did get out today, went to Hollingworth lake, which is only a half hour drive away and really pleasant for a dog walk. Was just what I needed. Came back and made a lovely meal, golden onion tarts. Very onionyNot long since finished watching Stardust with everyone, popped on here to update and think I'll get off to bed soon.
Have a blood donor appointment tomorrow...oh I hope I don't feel queasy like last time. All that blood in a bag makes me feel _pale_ but also makes me feel :happyhear so kind of balances out.
Happy day tomorrow to all. Supposed to be nice weather as well.

Just hopping on here for a few moments. Have a cracking headache so off to bed in a mo.
Have been slightly naughty re: budget and have bought myself and DD some new clothes.
Will add a to do list this weekend for next week, that definately helps me get motivated.
Not much else to add, plodding along as usual...
