Hi Diz, your quiet. Everything OK hun?
GR x0 -
Hello friends :hello: Thought it was about time I posted on my diary seeing as it's been almost a month. I have kept up with all yours though as usual.
Now...what to post? Oh now I remember why I haven't posted, nothing exciting to post! I must admit not posting here has probably led me to overspending a little, did I say little?
I've started on a de-clutter in the kitchen, and added some new shabby chic items just to make it a bit more cheery. Not done anything remotely interesting, just plodding on.
Will add more on here if I decide to do any challenges etc, meanwhile I'll keep up with your diaries

Hey girl how you doing? Glad your plodding on but not so glad about the overspending
Life has become a bit boring for me as well, nothing to report, just like you everything is plodding along nicely.
Keep us posted hun xxx0 -
Hello my dear
Thanks for the support. I just feel a bit deflated at the moment and not sure why. Just been for a jog with DD and I am so unfit. Took the dog as well and she outran both of us! I think a bike each sounds a better idea! Not sure how the dog will pedal one thoughI've got some items to wrap and post for ebay tonight and just off to pick up DS from work and take him home. He's house sharing again.
Will catch you later.

Hello everyone :hello:..hope you're all okay and can I just say sorry for not updating my diary sooner. I still do catch up with all yours KP and GR, when you post.
Ok, here's the update, overdraft kept creeping up and up, virgin card was being paid but not as much as I would have liked to have paid off though due to the overdraft. So I thought long and hard, for a couple of months in fact, and decided to get a bank loan to pay off the virgin card (even though this was 0% interest till next year I just wanted it gone) and the overdraft. Have got it for 12 months only at a good rate and I feel so much more settled now knowing it's just one payment a month and I'm back in the black with the bank. Happy days!
Was struggling a lot with the decluttering, due to me being a sentimental fool, a lot of what I keep is emotional clutter. Anyway got a fabulous book from Amazon after reading the reviews and I don't know what's happened but I'm getting shut of stuff that I previously just couldn't. On top of that I've claimed back £32 owed to me that was an overpayment (just due to me being more motivated) found a £2 asda gift card in a drawer I decluttered, a book of 1st class stamps and the dog will have her fourth worming tab free because I found a card from the vets which, because she's had 3 previous ones since I filled it in, the fourth is free! Today I've also menu planned the weeks meals from the cupboard and freezer, just need to buy a few things to go with them, and last night put a few things on ebay.
Blimey, writing that down does seem a lot.
OH is at this moment in time painting the hall and stairs a lovely cream colour (I feel the need to brighten the place up) and next on the list is the living room and our bedroom. All before Christmas hopefully...
Will post my musings more regularly, may help to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Christmas is approaching, how on earth did that happen so quickly? Really looking forward to it though and have got a few presents already.
So...that's about it really more or less. Bit of a panic scare few weeks ago and had to have a mammagram which was ruddy painful. Saw the doctor on a Thursday, got appointment for following Wednesday and within 3 hours had a consultation, a mammagram, an ultra sound, this is general practice at this hospital to have both, and my results! Was just a tiny cyst! Thank you God, literally...
Believe me I think it was the kick up the butt I needed to appreciate just what I do have, rather than what I don't have and probably don't even need. A few days after the results I was in the bath pondering, as you do and I thought it really is true that saying about your health being more important than wealth.
Anyway enough of that...
Lots of love to y'all and hope my ramblings haven't sent you to sleep, though if they did and you needed to sleep then glad to have helped lol

:j Great to hear from you been wondering how you were. GR seems fine so hope thats the same :j.
Ow over the cist, glad it was just that. It really is things like that that puts stuff into persepective.
I think OD are evil things that just grow and grow so the loan sounds like a good idea.
Im so not prepared for xmas but trying not to panic. Ill do the best I can. It cant be any worse than last year .
Hope to hear more from you

Happy New Year
I am calling this year - **2010 Year Of The Thrift**
DD and DS want to go to Center Parcs this year, OH would rather go abroad but you know what I'm like about flying so England it will be again.:T
Plan is to curb any unnecessary spending, plan tea and work lunches and watch the pennies grow.
Here is my motto for this year - Every penny saved is a time slot at Center Parcs
Every penny saved is a fab Christmas 2010
Here are a few other 'sayings' I thought up and hope they keep me inspired -
* Money in my pocketNot the supermarkets
* Watch my money grow
Not dwindle
* Look ahead by being careful everyday
Day to day sense pays for future fun and enjoyment
The plan I made this morning :
* Organise work clothes for the week done
* Find work key and ID done
* Plan work lunches done
* Plan family teas for the week using ingredients and food we already have in done
Monday - quorn chicken chausseur, veg and rice v
Tuesday - Herby omellettes, mixed salad v
Wednesday - OH and boys chicken, noodles/chips, veg. DD Quorn dippers, veg v
Thursday - Lasagne and garlic bread v
Friday - chilli wraps and salad v
Was going to have a drive to Sainsburys today then thought I'd have a look in the cupboards etc to see if I could meal plan for the week and that's what I came up with it. Was really pleased and saved me a fair bit of money I didn't need to spend though will need some fresh salad and bread, just a few bits really.
Today I made a lovely quorn mince and mushroom pie with filo pastry, veg and chips with gravy for everyone and I had some mixed veg in filo pastry instead of the pie.
And I've had a NSD as well as finding a £20 note in one of my drawers, which was brilliant as I've worked my budget at being quite low really so this is a bit extra if I need it. I'm still in the black, which is a great feeling and I don't intend to take any money out of the bank at all this month, fingers crossed.
Feeling really positive, though I've felt like that before, but will post a little daily update, if I can get on the computer that is.
Keep safe and well everyone.
