Hi KP...oh the budgets not too good. Had a lot of family birthdays and have DDs birthday next week. I just keep thinking come September when the last loan payment goes out all will be fine, but by thinking that it's as if it's allowing me to go daft, spending. I don't know, just the way my crazy brain works. Don't think for one moment the overdraft will be gone by October but I can tackle it once the loans gone. Not going to let it get me down.
The diet is going well, day 3 today lol Feel much better back on ww. At least I know what I can have and when I have to stop, when I've run out of points lol Will weigh myself next week and see how I've done.
DD just rang she's halfway through the 6k race for life, it's her first one. Said she wants to come home and have a 'chippy' lol
I wouldn't mind but she was out last night, I would have been in bed early. Ah I remember when I had that kind of energy.
Not much planned for today. OH is in the process of decluttering his shed and has made new shelves and bench for it...all the more room for me to throw stuff in lol
I want to do something but don't know what and I don't want to spend any money!!!
Hope all is well with you this weekend KP Have a good 'un

Did really well today with my points, stuck to my 16 but....have just had a huge bowl of rice krispies with chocolate soya milk. Ahhhhhh...oh and quite a few cashew nuts but did point those and may have been a little over cautious with the 6 points I gave them.
Saying that I did take doggie for a walk so maybe earned back a point or two there.
Going to have a relax on the sofa now and do some crochet.

20 mins later and I'm still here, now I really am going to plonk myself on the sofa!

Hi mum2one...I find it easier as everything you eat has a points value, aside from some veggies etc. that are free points so you can eat as much of those as you like, and so once you've eaten all your points values, eg mines 16 a day, then that's it, I can't have anything else.
I need those guides to stick to :)
There are a few new members packs on ebay at the moment. That will tell you everything you need to know and you can also work out how many points you can have for the day.
Hope that helps. Please do ask if you want to know anything else :)

  • I like the idea but worry I would still eat rubbish with the points and not enough healthy stuff. Good luck with it though and you M21 if you go ahead.

Oh dear DS brought home a flapjack for me. Was the size of a housebrick, almost lol and I ate it all. Think it must have been about 30 points, it was so yummy though lol and a lovely thought from him. Bless him.
Ah well tomorrow is another day.
KP I think it works best for me when I plan ahead. When I don't it does go to pot lol
Really tired today so going to bed shortly. Yesterday OH, doggie and I went for a lovely walk along the canal. We saw lots of birds including a mummy duck with 6 chicks and mum and dad swans with 3 of their young. My legs were aching so much when we got back, but it felt good. Had a hot bath and then watched the footie. Only 3 more days till the 6 week holidays...can't wait. Going to get some major de-cluttering done (I'm sure I said that last year) and some major de-stressing :) One does tend to cause the other lol
No idea what we're doing re a holiday, I only want to go away if everyone comes, but OH and I are definately having some days out together whatever we do.
Off to bowbeys now...after that little ramble

Hi KP and mum2one and anyone else who may be browsing...
Knew I was almost up to my overdraft with this months spending and thought I'd better have a look...was as bad as I thought it would be. Had a little tot up the various places I spent money in/on and here it is...
    Since the 22nd June
    Shopping stores, Tesco etc.......£184.95
    Clothes shopping mainly DD.......£134.15
    Misc...Direct debits, withdrawals,
    (charities)
Car insurance (DH gives me this back
but I spend it instead of putting it
back in the bank) and various other bits......£272.84
Total £591.94 not including money gone into savings accounts.
Actually it'll be more because I've used my card over the weekend too and today. And it's another week to payday!
But I am drawing a line under this month now and not fussing over what I've spent. What's done is done and I knew it would be a bad month moneywise. I will get there and be overdraft free, just not as soon as I hoped.
Off now for 6 weeks from school so should be able to plan meals etc a little better.
Having a major declutter as I said in my last post and hopefully this will help my head to become a little clearer, as in Feng Shui clearer.
Have got about 4 de-clutter books upstairs I could start with those :rotfl:
Now talk is cheap...thank crikey were I'm concerned, so although I'm not going to set any major money challenges, that would just be setting myself up for a fall, I am going to set myself small daily achievable targets, such as errrrrmmmmm errrrrmmmmm let me think now, maybe giving myself a figure for the day and not going over it. So tomorrow I will give myself £20 and try not to go over that. That money will also be used for any food I have to buy as no idea what I have in the freezer and really am not looking tonight. I am going to have a bath shortly, put on pj's and just relax.
I will update daily on how I've done and how I'm feeling.
Must get to the gym seeing as I'm now paying £21 a month for that, no excuse at least for the next 6 weeks!
I feel quite focussed now after that long ramble. Hopefully it will last longer than the usual few hours :)
Hope everyone is happy and doing things that make you smile.
