LOL you make me laugh. I'm the other way round with regards to fashion I love all the latest styles and my kids go 'oh mam act your age' I wasn't around in the hippy-chick time I'm an early 70's girl but inside I'm only 18.

I WILL BE KEEPING AN EYE ON YOU
  • Hiya Wendy...was wondering were you were. Hope you're okay.
Back at work tomorrow so going to have a bath and bed.
Good luck if you decide to do amazon. I'm going to give it a go at some stage. We've all got our extra challenges going on here at the moment and we're doing okay. You can join us if you like. Do you need to de-clutter, ebay etc. Just post one thing you're going to do that day and then let us know if...ahem...I mean 'that' you did it :D
*My challenge for tomorrow is to de-clutter one very untidy paper work drawer*
I'm going to take in a tin of beans and bread and have beans on toast tomorrow...don't forget to pack your lunches.
Luvz to you all and have a great mse day tomorrow.

Hi Im still about, need to set a challange but this week is all about keeping up with work (so should be getting dressed and not on here!) then the weekend I need to start the coursework due by month end  .

Keep looking at the walls in the house thinking the really do need to be painted but the thought of having to declutter and move everything first puts us both off :o .

Want the weather to improve so the car boots sales around here start. Then when I declutter I can put it the car and hopefully get rid of alot.

Never mind the little ASDA blip just try not to make in a common one!

  • Hi GR I think I tend to go for comfort more than anything else...now that is an age thing...I'm not that old though, born in the sixties and like you, I still think and feel like I'm eighteen, actually that was a pretty good time for me first love and all that, ah memories.......:D I have older brothers who were into Pink Floyd, Santana, Moody Blues,The Beatles etc, so think I was influenced by their choice of music whilst growing up. Older sister was into soul music which I cannot abide, so wasn't influenced by her choice at all. I even had an afghan coat and used to wear a fishermans hat...oh my golly I must have looked barmy :rotfl: :D Hmmm that reminds me still not sure about getting those Moody Blues tickets yet...
Well I am going to try really hard this month to be a good mse and not be tempted by bits and bobs, I promise GR...
Hi Wendy I think car boots are a good idea. I've done a few and had some good days and some rubbish ones. Sometimes people just want to pay pence, mind you who doesn't? Why don't you just set yourself a small challenge that you know you'll achieve, rather than putting the pressure on, especially if you've got coursework to get through. I would do anything, even iron, when I had assignments to do, but once I'd put pen to paper it wasn't so bad. Good luck with it.

  • Oh my....just been to the garage. Didn't take my bag, just my purse. Got back to the car and no purse...anywhere!! So ran back in the garage, purse not there. Knocked on a guys window who'd been in the garage and asked if he'd seen it, he said no. Anyway got home and said to OH I'd have to cancel cards etc. anyway OH is really good at finding lost things so I asked him to have one more look in the car. Yes.... he found it...I am losing my marbles at the moment. I do it all the time at school, leaving my bags everywhere...I've got to get a grip on this...:D
Anyway drama over, just having a tia maria and coke now to calm down.
Thought I'd share it with you, feel better now.

This always happens to me, its usually after I've paid at the garage I jump back into the car an just throw my purse on the seat. I few roundabouts and sharp braking later and there's no purse!!!!!

At least you found it that's the main thing. Hope the Tia Maria and Coke calmed you down.

  • Good morning Diz, how are things with you and your lot? Have DH grouted the kitchen yet?
  • Good evening GR..just posted on your diary hun.
OH grouted yesterday and is now putting up the new blind. :D
Dinners cooking, I've thrown together onion, carrots, two tins of chopped tomato, sliced potatoes and adzuki beans. It's all in a pan simmering then I'll put it in a casserole dish with a pastry top. I'm not that hungry to be honest and I've only had toast all day. I'm sure I can manage a bit though.
Really tired again...mind you had a late night friday so think it's catching up on me today.
Nothing much to report, went to asda today and spent £51 odd, hopefully that'll do for this week, more or less. Sorted out a couple more bedroom drawers yesterday and a cupboard in the living room so suppose that was a bit of de-cluttering. Hopefully I'll get to the bank tomorrow and pay off debt no 2. Hmmm that'll be my overdraft going up again then. I can't have it all ways though!
Rubbish on tv until Lewis comes on, by then I might be settled enough to watch it.
Hope everyone's ok and you've had a great weekend.

Hi Diz, just going to pop over to my diary now just thought I'd read yours first. I know what you mean about Sunday night TV. I'll be watching Lewis as well later. Can honestly say I've not watched any TV since Eastenders and Corrie on Friday night.

I can't wait until Debt 2 is paid off this week. Don't worry about the OD, that will come down in time.

I've got some bread going in the breadmaker and that's the only thing I've done today.
  • Hmmm home-made bread. Can you still smell it baking in a breadmaker? I love that smell.
Oh has put the blind up now, it's got tiny little flowers all over it, my start of shabby chicness :D
The Kingdom was quite good with Stephen Fry that finished last week.
Have a chilled out evening GR.

With the breakmaker once the dough starts to cook it does smell lush. Only thing is the bread won't be ready until about 10.00. I'm sure I'll still manage to eat approximately half of it before I go to bed.

I find TV really bad this time of year. I don't watch hardly anything other than the soaps. I'd much rather a good book. STarted reading Jordans second autobiography this morning and I'm already over half way through. Will hopefully get through a good bit of it later tonight and finish it tomorrow. Have got so any books that I've had for presents that I've not read yet. Am going to try my best and get through them over the next few weeks.
