  • Hey Good Luck GR...you never know at least you've got them on. I haven't even looked at it yet!! Well done for getting the bathroom cupboard done. I'm very impressed. Yes I shall be your conscience sitting on your right shoulder looking all angelic lol
Well done Seaxwyn it's all money in the pot isn't it. Must get round to finding some time to do it.

  • Hi guys sorry Ive not been about.

You all sound very industrious at the mo. GR with de cluttering and DL with kitchen. Nothing to report here except I did change elec/gas supplier, shot myself in the foot a bit there as found out about unknown arrears becasue I hadnt kept he readings up to date but nevermind still needed to be done.

Is it just hardbacks that sell on Amazon? Im too wary of ebay. OH has quite a few paperbacks about. Usually flog them for 20-50p at car boot sales. Wondering if Amazon might be more profitable?

Hi Wendy. Paperbacks do sell on Amazon. For the very popular novels, there are many hundreds of copies listed, as Girl Racer said. However many paperbacks do sell for good money so it's worth checking out your OH's books.

  • Hiya Wendy...was wondering were you were. Hope you're okay.
Back at work tomorrow so going to have a bath and bed.
Good luck if you decide to do amazon. I'm going to give it a go at some stage. We've all got our extra challenges going on here at the moment and we're doing okay. You can join us if you like. Do you need to de-clutter, ebay etc. Just post one thing you're going to do that day and then let us know if...ahem...I mean 'that' you did it :D
*My challenge for tomorrow is to de-clutter one very untidy paper work drawer*
I'm going to take in a tin of beans and bread and have beans on toast tomorrow...don't forget to pack your lunches.
Luvz to you all and have a great mse day tomorrow.

  • Hmmm...not been doing as well as I wanted too but kept the overdraft down a Bit. If I don't go over £1,200 I will be in front by £154.00p than last month. Better than nothing. Have decided that instead of paying the 2 debts this month I'll pay off all of debt no 2 (the higher interest one) and pay the minimum amount on debt 1. Then next month pay all of debt no 1. Will still get them paid off at the same time but this way one of them will be gone for good this month. GR you suggested doing this and I think pyschologically it will feel better for me.
Not got around to ebaying or amazon, just feel really tired this week and not really in the mood at all. Think I overdid it in the kitchen. On the plus side OH found 5 tiles in the shed which is all we needed to replace the cracked ones. These have now been done and this week-end he'll re-grout and then that's the kitchen finished.
Hope everyone is okay and doing well.
    Take care.

Ooooo Diz I can't wait until one of them is paid off, isn't next week when you pay it? Just think you'll have successfully cleared debt 2, that'll give you a tremendous feeling. I feel really excited for you.

Try to chill out for the next couple of evenings and regain some of you energy after doing the kitchen and just imagine how it'll look after this weekend and all done on a budget.

As for the overdraft, like I've said, one step at a time - it'll all come together for you.
  • Aw Thanks GR...to be honest I think you're more excited than me. Why do I feel a bit deflated about it all? Did you feel a bit down when you'd nearly cleared all your debts? What a strange feeling, now it's almost here it feels wierd. Debt 2 will be gone next week...I know I'll be blimming glad though! Called at asda on the way home and...don't shout...I spent £37 with no shopping list or anything. What's that all about...am I psychologically trying to sabotage everything. At one time though that was a regular shopping occurence, at least I feel a bit miffed about doing it.
I wouldn't be anywhere as far as this if I hadn't had the support from you, so big thanks GR :D
Chilling out sounds like a good idea GR, might have a tia maria and coke later, I shall pour you one.
Hope you're okay and relaxing too. :D

Diz, I think its part of the debt free wannabe course to start feeling deflated when your nearing the end. It appears to be so near yet so far. Once you pay off the one debt next week you'll have another boost of enthusiasm.

I think I am more excited than you. I can remeber the feeling when the last payment goes through, its fabulous - trust me. Just think of all the amazing things you can do with the spare money

Asda???? and £37???? Hope you bought wisely and didn't add anything you didn't need in your trolley. I'll be keeping a close eye on you madam!

Dizzie, I'm excited for you, even if you're not.! I can't wait to come on here and read that you've paid Debt 2 off.

£37 at Asda, how I sympathise.... I've been to Morrisons today and yesterday and spent a mostly unnecessary £62.

  • :D Thanks you guys...you've cheered me up. I think it will feel good, I'm probably just hormonal. I did get stuff at asda that we needed aside from a top reduced to £4, longish and purple with embroidered flowers on. It'll be nice for work :D DD hates it of course...she thinks I should dress like a teenager I think instead of the ex hippy-chick which is still in me.
Blimming pain supermarkets aren't they...I hate them. Have been doing quite well recently too. Used my credit card so definately gone over that £1,200 mark, but still under from last month though.
Have a great thursday and keep it mse...I'll try to, specially if you're going to keep your eye on me GR :D
    Luvz to you both.
