Hi Dizzy just checking in before I'm off to work. Did you get the kitchen finished last night?
Catch up later.
GR x0 -
Hello GR...kitchen not finished. Was doing it till 1am this morning and got to the end of the counter. Will start on the far wall where the cooker is today. It's going to be a long haul but to be honest it looks really good
Popping to B&Q to get one of those bins that you attach to the inside of the cupboard. We had one under the sink but it broke and now we have one of those huge brabantia chrome bins. It stands next to the back door and everytime you want to come in or out you have to move it...so that is going to the tip today...also we have a four slice toaster, chrome again and only two of the grills work on it...so that's going too. Going to get a smaller white one. The bin is £15 and I'm only going to spend about £5 on a toaster. I know that's £20 out of my budget and spent £18 yesterday on the blind and stuff, so total about £40 for a kitchen make over, not bad.
How are you hun? Hope you had a good day at work, hey the suns shining too. Spring is around the corner.
Catch you later.

Hello Y'all
well I'm jiggered. Still doing the kitchen and got to above the cooker. Uncovered my lovely tiles to show an oil lamp, teapot with flowers on and teacup, same design standing on a lacy cloth. This covers 4 large tiles. Aw it's lovely. Glad we didn't retile and I just painted over otherwise I wouldn't have these to uncover. Blimming tiring though. Didn't need to buy a toaster as we're using the white one we used to take camping. It's only small though and you have to turn the bread upside down halfway through to toast it all. Very mse though until I get a new one. OH taken the big chrome one to work. My work surface now looks huge.
The dogs on heat so she's either racing round the room or flat out. Bless her. Think we'll get her done after this one. She hates the vets though and get's really snarly and snappy. Last time she went for her booster they gave me a muzzle. That took about 15 minutes just to get that on, had to swaddle her in a blanket. She weed on the vets assistant but he was lovely about it, said it was the 3rd pair of trousers he'd changed that day.
Hope everyone's had a good day. Better go and do a bit more.

Hi Diz, how's the kitchen coming along?0
-
Hello GR...hope you're okay and your days been a good one.
Hmmm I'm getting a bit fed up now doingthe kitchen. I've probably got a few hours left before it's done, then OH needs to re-grout. A couple of the tiles have come off, so just need popping back on but one or two have got cracks in...if we haven't got any spare in the shed I don't know what I'll do...aside from scream very loudly! Think the nitromors is giving me really wierd vivid dreams tooHaven't started on it today. I find the enthusiasm is waning now, but I'll do it in a bit.
Well it's valentines day. OH always gets me a dozen red roses, and a little cuddly toy. This time it was a little bee, I love bees. I always place a little bag of chocolate hearts on the childrens pillows for when they wake in the morning. Still do it for eldest and he's 20 this year!
I got OH a cup with hearts on, and popped some chocolate hearts in and a bottle of beer. Think altogether it was less than £4. I also made my own wrapping paper, printed hearts, very mse
Suppose I should go and do something in the kitchen...
Catch ya later...

Been busy in the kitchen today and want to get it finished tonight. DD has gone out and I'm picking her up about 2am so that gives me a few hours to crack on with it. Will be very very happy when I've finished it. OH said if we haven't got any spare tiles he can take some from the back of the dryer, and replace those with white ones. I never thought of that!
Was going to go and get a few nice things to put in my kitchen for when it's finished, something shabby chic but will wait till it's finished, it'll be something to look forward to.
Hope everyone is okay and keeping well.

Finished the kitchen at last. Pleased with the result. Now I can leave the rest to OH and I might possibly tackle the cupboards, de-clutter them. Just need a rest from it all now for a while.
Not much else to report on, at least I did something with my week off. Could do with another week off to recover.
Hope everyone is okay.

Good morning Diz, you were up late last night but bet your feeling great now that your part in the kitchen project is over. Hope DH is not like all men and avoid finishing it off for you now.
Got absolutely nothing planned for today other than the usual household chores and some shopping. ISA total seems to be at a stop right now until I come up with some more brainstorming ideas. Am going to try and list some books on Amazon today (think your de-cluttering is rubbing off on me)
Hope you have a good day and thanks for the pm.
Big hugs x0 -
Hello GR...I do feel blimming glad that the kitchens done. Hmmm I'll be on OH case till he's finished it off now. We've just been to pilkington tiles to see on the off chance they had some of the tiles that need replacing but unfortunately they didn't. Long shot I guess considering we had it tiled 15 years ago. So back to plan A and taking them off from the back of the dryer.
Do you know GR I keep thinking about listing some books on amazon instead of ebay but at the moment the thoughts there but I just can't be bothered. Hey you know what they say about decluttering, good for the mind and soul...
I'm going to put one thing a day on my diary to declutter and then like you say, once you've posted it you feel more motivated to stick to it.
So today I will declutter one of my kitchen cupboards. Join me if you like GR. Add an item to declutter too and I'm sure we'll get more done than if we didn't. You have a good day and will get back to you later...

Thanks Diz, I'm not much of a hoarder in fact I'm quite the opposite, I throw things away and then when I need them I no longer have them. WHat I will do though is agree to add 3 books a day onto Amazon and see how it goes. Am desperate to get shot of the big box of them currently taking up space in the front room. That will be my aim for the coming week. Hopefully by next Saturday I'll have listed another 21 books!0
