I am so fed up. I'm resisiting the urge to spend but it's hard because I'm in that frame of mind. Finished school for the holidays and I know if I'm not careful I'll be spending. You know when you just get that feeling of listlessness and a bit down. Well that's how I feel. Could be time of the month to blame but don't know what to do to cheer myself up. Am going to have a hot bath and maybe read a book or something. Am going to wangle some money out of hubby I think and buy something to cheer myself up. Will take DD and he can treat her too...though he doesn't know about it yet
Okay going now as nothing else to add except boring mumbo jumbo. Oh dear I am in a mood aren't I? Will just browse on here for a while I think first.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Hiya Dizzy, sorry your on a downer today. I feel that everybody seems to be in limbo at the middle of the month all the spare money has been spent and we're all just sitting here waiting for the next payday!!!
You keep your chin up though hun, because your debts are heading in the right direction. Big hugs x0 -
Take it one day at a time. If today's a bad day, make tomorrow a good one!0

Aw thanks chix
Just feeling a bit fed up. DD has got her straighteners out and is trying to cheer me up by doing my hair. Might need more than that though!
I'll be all right. Could probably do with an early night too!
I think you're right, it's like I've got paid and instead of being able to enjoy it, it's just going to be another month of being careful again, till next pay day. Ah well we all have these days eh? It's weird though because it's not like I'm thinking I want any big purchases or anything in particular, it's just that knowing you can't if you did, I suppose. If you get my drift
Hope you're okay and thanks for the kind words. I feel better all readyOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Hi Dizzy
I know exactly what you mean, one pay day to the next all the time, but think of the positives when you are saving and feel good about them. Take a look at my thread and see if you can give me some advice, you always feel better if you've helped someone else!
I'm trying to look forward to a payday so that I can enjoy distributing the money to debt, various classes etc and to feel good about it, even though I've no 'spare' cash any more to do as I like.
Keep going, it's got to get easier!0 -
Hey mousegirl thanks too
You're right. Tomorrow I will be more positive and hope for a nice sunny day.
Sometimes I need to put all this into perspective. It's nothing to what some people are going through.
Hope all's well with you
Just seen you're last post. I'll do my best mousegirl, I'll have a look now.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Just an update. Feelimg more cheerier than of late. Must have been those dratted hormones
Been doing well on the moneyfront. More careful and not just drawing out willy nilly. If I have taken any out I've tried to make it last. DS birthday in June and OH and Fathers day so looking at spending as little as possible. Buying son clothes, he works so not spending a fortune and OH always says I don't need to get him (OH)anything but we do.
Put a few more things on ebay, every bit helps. Hoping to get a lot straighter in the next couple of months so when I make my last loan payment in September I'll be ahead. This is what I need to focus on. Was going to go to asda today and DD said "Don't mum, make something with what we've got in". So I did. Probably saved me about £20. :T
We went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. It was okay but not as good as the first two. OH paid for that
Um not much else really, we just keep going don't we.
Going for a nice hot bath now and chilling out.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Hiya Diz glad to see the hormones have settled!!!!! Look at that OD girl, it's coming down nicely. It's really difficult to avoid the supermarket, I have problems there as well. I just get money out once a week now and make it last. I used to bank with the Halifax and as there was one in our village I was in there all the time withdrawing money. Am now with the Abbey and as I have to go out of my way to the cashpoint I find this is actually helping me......
Keep going, your getting there x0 -
Hi dizzie
If your OH says don't get him anything for Fathers Day, then don't get him anything!
You could make a card, and a nice dinner (not if it means a special trip to Asda,of course!)Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Thanks GirlRacer and Seaxwyn
That's what I'm trying really hard to do GirlRacer, I'm thinking twice now before I make purchases. Today I could say so easily to DD "Come on let's go shopping" but why? She does have her presentation evening/prom night from college and said "I need a new dress and everything" It's the everything that worries meAh well I suppose if I do have to spend on this it won't make as big a dint in my finances than if I'd been spending left right and centre if you get me.
I hear what you're saying Seaxwyn but I'd feel so mean doing that, even though he say's it's ok. I always get him something from the children on Fathers Day but it's his birthday a week after DS too. I've picked up some Guinness slippers for him already, reduced to £5 from £7 but think they can be off one of the children for Fathers Day. I think a nice meal as you suggest would be lovely though that's always a bone of contention! He does eat meat but only when he makes it himself, and I'm vegan so his idea of a nice meal would be a steak and I won't make that! I might just have to take him out then he can choose. Not dfw but mine won't cost that much and at least he gets his choice. Sometimes I wonder how we stay together!!!! You've got me thinking now on how I can make this as dfw as I can. :think:Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0
