Well I haven't been able to get on the internet for a week!!!! Any my clever brother has fixed it. NTL/Virgin were pretty useless and PC World said even thought the computer was less than a year old because we hadn't taken the extended warrenty out they couldn't/wouldn't do anything. Charming. Never going there again!! Anyway back on and have really missed it.
All okay (touch wood)
Hope everyone else ok

Crikey. It's been a while since I've updated this!!! Anyhow not much has happened. Had a fairly expensive month, DDs birthday which is usually expensive but because of the good month previous it didn't seem too bad. Didn't get my friday afternoons off from work (wanted to do some voluntary work on friday afternoons)but apparently someone said they'd looked at our previous years hours and gone off those. Suppose I should have said something but to be honest should reduce my hours when I'm totally debt free so will ask again next year. Um what else. Well only two payments left now on my loan, that's gone fast...and now off for six weeks for the summer??!! holidays. I'm going to de-clutter the house and start painting again or at least get back into my charcoals. I never seem to be in the mood though. I don't know about anyone else but at the moment I just feel totally bored with everything and just seem to see doom and gloom everywhere.Listening to Caravan through the headphones at the moment to try and lighten my mood. They are a prog.rock band from donkeys years ago and I love them. Went to see them a few years ago in Rotherham and they lived up to all expectations!!!
Anyway hope you are all okay whoever maybe reading this. Not very enlightening I know and not much to add but still it helps me...
Okay bye for now. xOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Hi lizzie
Well done for getting through an expensive month without disaster. Your life is going to get so much easier when that loan is finished. I know what you mean about doom and gloom, hope your spirits pick up soon.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi Seaxwyn
Well we have to keep the focus in mind and whilst we're counting the pennies I suppose doom and gloom will hit us from time to time. Think I'll start my decluttering today...what a job that will be.
Keep well hun and hope you're okay. x:DOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Well not really been good for me these last couple of weeks. Been away for a few days, which was wonderful, but my overdraft has gone up. Ah well I know I've been a bit carefree but to be honest I'm not stressing over it. Actually feeling determined now to get back on track. Because I know how great it would feel to go away with money put aside especially for holidays and I will do it. So, going to be a couple of 'lean' months for me but aside from one birthday in September there isn't any now until April. Oh but there is Christmas I suppose. We have already decided what we're doing for presents though so hopefully this won't be the major hassle it usually is. That's not what Christmas is about is it?
So the plan is just to be very very careful with spending.
Don't plan to spend any money today and hopefully none or very very little tomorrow. And to update this diary more regularly. That does help.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Yay one more payment left on my loan. Can't wait. Have really struggled these last few weeks though about 3 months ago was doing ok I think (long time ago now)!!:o Finding it hard to get my overdraft down, it's like 2 steps forward and 5 back! So took some money out of the bank today, changed it into fivers and will limit my spending to around £7 a day...in theory.Though I did buy some 'vegan' non leather purple boots today...was a bargain at £6. And I did need some.
Wrote a cheque today for Manchester Dog's Home for the sponsored walk we did in the Spring and altogether we raised £126.20p :j :T
So not much else happening, back at school in just over a week...these holidays have literally flown by and I've done hardly anything I had on my 'head' list. I must organise my time better I think.
Love and luck to anyone reading this xOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
Not good with overdraft but trying. Have been looking at the wonderful hampers people have been doing on the Christmas thread but have decided to get a fair few presents from Cruelty Free websites such as Dr Hadwen Trust and Animal Aid etc. Just plodding on really, as you do, nothing much to add, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! Bit tired now so think I'll have an earlyish night, might have a little look on the forums first. xOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0

Hey diz, Just catching up on what you've been up to. Been pretty busy myself lately and not managed to get on here much. only one payment left on the loan, that's fab news, the time is just flying by. Hope your all ready for the new school term this week and I'm sorry about the Friday afternoons - I know you really wanted them off.
Big hugs GR x0 -
Aw thanks GirlRacer. Yes it was a shame about the friday afternoons but I honestly think they didn't realise I'd asked for them off. Nevermind before we know it it'll be July again and I'll make sure I have them off (she says)
Went back today and it was lovely to see everyone again. Back to playing 'What time is it Mr. Wolf' in the playground, though when I look around I do wonder why it's only me playing these playground games...the children love them though. (so do I) Lots of changes in my timetable, I know I wanted the change but think I'll be meeting myself coming back.
Hope you're okay and getting through the days all right. At the moment I'm not doing well at all. The intention is there but for example popped into Asda this evening with a small list but spent £47. then I get soooo angry with myself that I've spent that much that I just feel so fed-up!!! The wine I bought is helping thoughand I'm not a drinker...think it may become my new hobby. OH brews his own beer and we've made white wine (which DD loves) and at the moment red wine is on the go but still needs a few days yet, so won't have to buy any from asda once it's brewed.
I'm rambling now aren't I. Anyway lovely to hear from you and do take care.

Ah Dizzy you so make me laugh
Your exactly like me - why do we even bother writing a list before going shopping? We know we're not going to stick to it.
I've fallen off the wagon lately as well, between the kiids being home from school, holidays, new uniform and now ex hubby has lost his job, so I lose out on CSA money. Just when you get on your feet something comes along to knock you back.
I have got some news in the romance department though - met a man on holidays and really fallen for him big time. Feel like a teenager again!!!! Just got to pluck up the courage and tell him I'm a spendaholic now.....
As for you drinking the wine - he!! that's what wine is for and if it makes you feel better then go for it. x0
