    yeah i know some of them get paid more than that. but generally, they don't.

    and they are overpaid also.

    I hadn't realized Boris bikes were so cheap. I used a similar system in Toronto when I was on holiday earlier in the year and the user fee was $5 (£3) compared to the £1 fee in London.

    However I only live about 4 miles from the centre and have my own bike, so have yet to use one.

    and here we are having emergency service workers on a pay freeze! i havent had a pay rise since oct 2006, its taken me yrs to train as a hazardous area response team paramedic - i attend fires (firefighter trained) terrorist attacks, natural disasters, chemical suicides, fatal rtc`s etc etc etc oh yea and train crashes!!......only last night i was at the huge fire in Bradford and last week the farm fire where the two yr old died! where is my decent pay for dealing with that.. im obv in the wrong job as i recieve far far far less than that!

    Those are the main reasons a tube driver with 3 months training earns a lot more than a highly trained and skilled paramedic.

    ah i see lol , yea hes prob right! altho its a good job emergency service workers dont do it for the money as there wouldnt be any staff ;)
