can we please have a free ferrari factory as well? I'm not keen on travelling with the riff-raff.

You could pay the cost of the difference between standard and first class and sit next to me! ;)

    Who is Polly Toynbee?

The unemployed could travel for free if it were all free, couldn't they?

My employer could leave London if they didn't want to pay the travel costs (although if we're being specific, I doubt my employer would due to the nature of their business).

I travel on the train every morning with people who (like me) don't earn £50k. We all still have to pay £3900 for our tickets though.

You said it was just for the workers - but the workers should be showing solidarity for their unemployed comrades I reckon.

So what you really want is higher taxation on companies, so that the governent can provide free transport to everyone - have I got it now? If so, Should this just be London companies, or any company?

    erm, I think we do.

The simple solution is we burn all tube drivers & diversity coordinators at the stake & start over.

    London companies.

    I mean, look at this:

    http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/politics/article-23994309-take-a-job-even-if-its-90-and-8201mins-away-tories-announce.do

The govt. are saying the unemployed have to take a job even if it's 90 mins away. My commute is 90 min each way. If the job is a minimum wage job, how will the person be able to afford to get there and back?

We had a million poles travel a thousand miles & found jobs. Not sure why I should pay for the million brits that decided to sit on their !!!!!!.

And I'd guess there really aren't many people that are 90 minutes away from a minimum wage job...

Well I'd vote for you, I like free stuff, espcially when it comes from a magical money pit that noone has to put into.
