dpnt apple exchange your phone for a refurbished one for like £120. Could work for you if they don't check for water damage i guess.0

I did this on Saturday. I dived in after it and dried it for 2 days but it has short circuited and won't work again. On top of everything I have a horrible cold today.
There's no advice anyone can give me. I just needed somewhere to come cry
You mean to say it didn't float and leap out the water. I thought iPhones could do everything??0 -
Only if you've downloaded iFloat...0

Been catching up on the threads here and for one, brief moment I thought from the title that one Iphone groupie had seen the light.
Then I read the first post.............................................0 -
get a waterproof pocket and floater for the next time your on the boat, will save it but carefull about an insurance claim as they will tell the differanceDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Insurance no longer an option, looking at santander's fine print the maximum i can claim for something damaged by water is £250, and there is an excess of £200. And then when I dig deeper, under the seventeen thousand things it lists under "Items we do NOT cover" they list "mobile telephones".
Insurance has never come in useful in my life, not once. I used to have mobile insurance to cover lost or stolen phones. Then I lost my phone and tried to claim and they wrangled out of paying on a technicality because I couldn't tell them exactly where I'd lost it.
Gonna go get me a couple of tins of beans and some string.0 -
