Delivery rights discussion

I have also had problems with Yodel in my case they were actually seen outside my house they then just went away without delivering! Tracking then changed to refused deliver! I immediately contacted ebuyer (more on this in a bit) who contacted yodel to tell them to deliver or re-deliver did they nope they sent it back to eBuyer over a week later!
I have I think reasonable asked for delivery after 6pm they deliver to 9pm I was told
They have just said nope no can do via eBuyer
So ok i will take further time off and ask for compensation
through eBuyer as my contract is with them i believe, yodel will not talk to me but just not interested it seems all you get is we don't do compensation even after pointing them to this site
Where do I go now is there a link to the government consumer rights specifics that say they can't just rip me off for additional costs in lost earnings.0 -
Ordered something from ASOS to collect at a shop near me. Parcel delivered to shop but their scanning device is showing an error so they can't give me it.
It's been five days since it's been delivered and when I asked to just cancel the whole thing ASOS said we're still waiting to hear back from the parcel company pass my parcel. This is just frustrating, I can't get what I ordered and I can't get a refund. All I know is that after 10 days if you don't collect it, it's supposedly sent back to asos.0 -

So whats the question?0 -
Hi all, big fan of the site, even when there's a colossal amount of snark being thrown around lol
Okay...
Fed-Ex arranged to pick up a parcel from me, I was returning some trainers. I called them up to arrange the return on the Friday morning. I had work that day (I work part time in an engineering company) and wanted to arrange pick-up the Saturday. Couldn't be done. The staff member I spoke to told me he could have them picked up between 2pm and 9pm that day. Okay, I re-arranged work for the following Monday.
Of course they didn't turn up did they?
I ended up calling them the Saturday and not getting hold of anyone. Nobody from Fed-Ex had reached out by the Monday, so I then had to take a bus journey to a shop an hour outside my village (I live in remote North Wales) to drop off these damn trainers at a UPS drop off point.
End of story - I missed half the day of work I was scheduled for Monday, so lost earnings of £60.
To make it worse, the driver called that evening as he was outside my door to pick up said parcel. He stated that nobody had told him to pick up the previous Friday.
I then called Fed-ex AGAIN and spoke to the rudest most curt and dismissive Lithuanian staff member imaginable (trying saying that after five pints).
So I took Fed-ex to Court via Moneyclaimonline. I simply won't stand for this kind of treatment and arrogance.
Now their lawyer is stating I should have taken the retailer to Court, not Fed-Ex, and threatening to sue for his hourly rate of £170 to defend the case.
Thoughts?

Did the retailer pay for the FedEx pickup? If so then FedEx are correct - they never had a contract with you.0 -
But we had a verbal arrangement - is that not a contract?
I had no idea that the contract in existence already negated my rights with this other party, i.e. UPS.0 -

Again, who paid FedEx - you or the retailer? Did the retailer provide you with the postage paid labels? If so your claim is against the retailer rather than FedEx.0 -
I am a disabled single pensioner, and my sister ordered me a new mattress because of Spinal Problems. This was to be delivered to my address. A date was agreed in the store, and we were given a very large plastic bag in which we had to seal the old mattress they were taking away. I am sure you can imagine what a task that was. My sister was telephoned Monday morning as arranged and was given the time of between 1 and 4pm Today, Tuesday. So all this work had to be carried out this morning.
Around midday my sister received a call to say that they were not delivering today because the mattress was not delivered yet to their store!! She will receive another call when it is available.
Firstly, I realise that in theory at least, I am entitled to nothing, although the situation was explained in store. There is no way I can take the plastic sack off of the mattress alone, let alone dig out my old bedding which has been put the the dustbin for collection tomorrow. I had bought fresh new bedding to compliment the new mattress.
Trying to sleep on this amount of plastic would be impossible, it is much larger than the mattress and is slipping all over the place, it would be very uncomfortable not to mention dangerous. I know to many this would not be a chore, just a minor inconvenience, but to me it is a real problem.
My sister is putting me into a hotel tonight as I am so distressed, but I would not expect or let, her do this for more than tonight.
Are there any suggestions as to what she could claim in compensation,or should she just cancel and forget the whole thing which Is what I feel should be done. It was alot of money for her to spend on me anyway.0 -
cut the plastic with scissors? You only need the top area clear.
As for bedding, well you have bedding.
So what is it to be?
Cancel the order,compensation?
most people wait until the order is complete.0
