Hex my 2 boys are the same age as yours, hopefully mine will catch on soon too.
seafarers_wife thats great news your OH is coming home. I'm sure he'll be more interested in you rather than what the house looks like.
I've sorted through over 4000 emails :eek::eek::eek: one frog gone for now. I might just start sorting them every evening. More washing done and i think i'll go sort the kids there dinner and waken Rhys before he sleeps too long.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

DD2 was most put out when I said she'd have to start earning it. Then reeled off a list of friends names that don't have to do anything for their "pocket money" .
I told her she was lucky, my disabled friend's kids have to do a hell of a lot more than I'm asking of her and have only recently started to get "pocket money"!!
Doesn't matter what other parents do. I would ask whether they wanted to be on other people's lists as the children who don't get a penny ever.
And I cut off pocket money for failure to perform required tasks, deduct for ruined clothing and anything else that results in additional expense for me - like breaking electrical equipment through carelessness.
I am evil, but it seems to work well, as Minion has saved over £200.
Oh, and when she is particularly good and needs stuff, we do what we did today - she chooses what she wants out of what she NEEDS, I say yes or no. She knows, having had me detonate in shopping trips before, not to push me.
This can be expensive - full sets of new undies (she has apparently unconsciously absorbed my unspoken rule that ALL undies come in matching sets), plus school socks, plus sports bras (thinking of the future there), and then a return to the safe haven of the Goth shop.
Where she was persuaded by one of the girls to try on the dress she wanted for a Halloween party and to actually come out of the changing room so that everyone could see. She wanted some shoes too, but she is going to have to buy them herself.
And even though the people in the shop are so lovely, she says that her friends are still too scared to go in there.
Can't see why, surely there's nothing scary about a shop with girls with bright blue/green/purple hair, tattoos, fishnet stockings and vast numbers of piercings?
KH is on his way to pick her up so that she doesn't have to suffer the horrors of tomorrow's gig.
And I am getting the butterflies starting up. Means the music's trying to get outI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

now to continue with another HHA to try and clear the spare bed of paperwork.0 -

:hello:Hi to all my flylady friends! Life and work has been stupidly busy, and I have been flying when I can, but with no time to keep up with the thread or post.
I'm popping in for a bit this weekend, as it's too cold to do anything outside! I feel like hot chocolate and warm blankets, bit of a change from last week's salads and sun cream!
Love and hugs, especailly for toots, lamewolf and lady liberty as well as any flyladies who would particularly like one.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
ohhh just had a nice surprise. when doing the filing, found out i thought the sofa's cost more than they actually did so i actually have the money put aside for them without needing to put any more away :j so next week sometime will go and pay the full balance off instead of waiting till just before the intrest free period runs out0

Also....
- Finish my dads vat return
- Finish his half year accounts and fax to the accountant
- Pack for my holiday
- Go round my friends for a cuppa to plan getting together while on hols
- Find the car seat covers that DH put somewhere safe last October, never to be seen again.
- Do the ten tonnes of washing that has piled up over the week.:(
- Oh and rest so that I can feel better to go back to work on Monday - lol.
Ruth
Evening all,
Well I've not done as much as I planned, but between DH & I we've
Cleaned the bathroom
Made banana muffins
Cleaned out the fridge
Almost finished the VAT
Cleared the dead veg plants from the garden
Packed away the trampoline for the winter
Met with my friend & had a lovely chat
Done mounds of washing, but not quite all of it...
I am gonna iron the sheets now so that I can make the bed & I'm done flying for the week. I'm chuffed to bits that the house is looking really good for that small daily effort. Its surprising how (if ignore the ROD's) the main rooms do keep themselves fairly tidy.
One of these days I will tackle my office & the kids playroom:eek::eek: but, in the meantime, I shall continue to pretend they don't exist.
Hope everyone has a great evening
