Well everyone's been fed here and dw on with another load..:D Wm now on second load and then i can only wash the tumble dry stuff as no rads left and it's raining.:( I've so much washing to get done and thats not even counting the bedding.

Gonna grab a cuppa and then start a HHC in the kitchen at 2.15, if anyone fancies it?

Well I haven't done anything yet today. I had my first ou tutorial this morning and DD2's dad kindly took me and brought me home. I would have driven myself but it was also open day at the uni so I was worried I wouldn't be able to park.
The tutorial went well and the group seem to be of a similar age and were all women. The tutor said she had a class of 20 and there was 8 there today.
I got back and decluttered some frontline spray to DD2's dad to give to his auntie for her dog. Now we've only got cats using the spray is a nightmare so now use some different pipettes, saves getting scratched and bitten :D
I have dropped DD1 off to school inher uniform as she filming with the BBC today :D sounds so posh but she's basically got to walk down a corridor several thousand times.
The school is being used in a 5 part drama called "love life". Her story has Billie Piper in it. Another one has David Tennant (mmm ;)) in it.
I'll let you all know when it's on and I expect you all to watch!! :D

Anyway, DD1 had hung the washing on the airer as it looks like rain :( and someone fed the cats, leaving all the empty pouches on the floor! And noone loaded the DW !!:mad:
I have just spoken to the boyfriendish on the phone and he seems quite happy which is good. I'd got the wrong end of a text message yesterday and had thought we'd had an arguement :o but it seems we hadn't :). Don't you just hate text conversations?
He's off to a party tonight so know wonder he's happy, I on the other hand am not :( but what can I do? I don't own him and will have to learn to trust :(
DD2 has gone to drumming wearing my (fake) uggs  so she'll be in for it when she gets back!
Poorly DC5 is curled up on my lap again. She came over when I was on the phone to the boyfriendish, got all excited, I'm sure she knows when it's him, she loves that man! :D So he had a talk to her :rotfl: she purred like mad, stuck her clawes in my leg and has now gone to sleep :)
I'll have to disturb her soon so I can get on, must load DW, S&S the bathroom (the boy DC's like to lie in the basin  ) and wash the floor, make my bed, then start on the front room. . . again :o
Other jobs will wait 'til the DD's are home, they can do them especially if they want their "pocket money".

Out of interest how do others cope with their kids thinking they're a walking bank?
DD2 was most put out when I said she'd have to start earning it. Then reeled off a list of friends names that don't have to do anything for their "pocket money" .
I told her she was lucky, my disabled friend's kids have to do a hell of a lot more than I'm asking of her and have only recently started to get "pocket money"!!

As a kid I had to 'earn' pocket money, ie gardening, car washing, laundry, pegging out washing, dog walking, house work, etc I personally think all kids should 'earn' pocket money with age suitable jobs if they are able, all this I want / my friends always get, I wouldn't put up with.

In Villa Valli, when the Vallikids used to trot out the 'but so-and-so's mummy...' line it was always countered with 'I'm not so-and-so's mummy, I'm your mummy and THIS is what is going to happen'. The line is no longer trotted out and hasn't been for some time, apart from a slight glitch when DS turned 18 and he already knows people who've been given CARS  - at which point he was told that if there was any money for a new car the car would be for me.

    bin emptied
    kitchen table cleared and cleaned
wet washing hung over clothes horse
    washed some dishes by hand
    sofa tidied

Not so bad, gonna go for another HHC at 3.30 in the front hall..:D

wendywitch i've only started the pocket money thing last week. Each child will get £3 if there bedroom is kept tidy all week. DD got her £3 as she always keeps her room good, boys got nothing. I think the boys felt bad that i didn't give in because when i came back last night their bedroom was tidy but it is a complete mess this morning again. They'll learn yet..

Totally agree, took mine (8 and 7) a few weeks to get it, but they get it now. I dont even ask any more - they don't do it, I get the money and buy a book - win, win. Just need them to not do it long enough to get River cottage Bread :p

seafarers - great news, I am sure he will be fine. He knows you are PG and have been ill. If he doesnt then I would do the 'oh good, glad you are home can you just carry the hoover so I can......'

ETA -Mine, after years of not nagging, has just emptied the ash tray of the wood burner!

Adamantine I do hope you're having a better day today (((HUG)))

Mr LW was meant to be on early shift on Monday, but because there's a problem with getting his email sorted out on his new laptop (it's complicated - I can't quite get my head round what's going on) he won't be, so we had an unscheduled dash into Central MK today instead. I usually avoid going on Saturdays, as I hate the crowds, but it can't be helped - not his fault.:o

Anyways, shopping has been done in Holland & Barrett (only place I can get veggie jelly crystals), Boots ("free" deodorant, as in paid for with Advantage points) Hotel Chocolat (Mr LW insists on buying me their drinking chocolate;)) and Waitrose.

Also been to Stony Stratford for the weekly F&V run, plus coffee beans from the market also, picked up my black sandals from the menders, and bought a Chinese-style top from the Red Cross Shop for £4 (I reckon it'd normally be about £25 new).

Been busy with CAMRA paperwork also, and I managed to get Mr LW to help compile a food plan for the week; we got some nice aubergines from the market, so he'll help me construct moussaka tomorrow.;) Oh, and the BM is currently near the end of baking a tomato loaf.

Cream crackered now, but I can't stop yet, I need to get a nut loaf made, which can then go in the fridge to be cooked tomorrow (alongside the aforementioned moussaka and blackberry'n'apple crumble) and it'll then be sliced and put in the freezer.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
